Plumes of sand rose from behind the all-terrain Rocket vehicle, announcing its presence to the HQ without the need for a radio-signal. The driver was tense, the speedometer edged steadily up as his foot planted on the ground. His shotgun was staring out the window as if he would dearly like to open the door and throw himself from the cabin. Their passenger seemed like she had a superhuman ability: the ability not to breathe, subsisting entirely on words.
New recruit Emalthya was very excited about going to a new place, especially being paid for it, and finding a uniform to wear all in black, and when she was excited she chatted. She usually relied on her pokemon to shut her up, but he was waiting out the trip in his pokeball, being too large for the van.
So Emalthya was asking the irritated grunts sent to retrieve her everything about their lives as Team Rocket employees. They answered at first, but then grew less and less talkative in an effort to shut her up. Didn't work, of course.
After clearing the security and pulling up to the HQ building, the grunts waited only long enough for Emalthya to put up her black umbrella and heft her bag out of the back before careening off to the garage- with the door open. The driver privately thought that cleaning the interior was better than spending a moment more in her company and knew Team Rocket would regret this day.
Emalthya blinked and waved goodbye automatically to the van before letting out her pokemon and, shading her eyes against the sun, checking out the domineering HQ.
"How did no-one ever find this place? It's not really subtle."

Never yawned, a great big ole 'I'm a tired Flareon, why couldn't you just let me sleep?' yawn. Sorano yawned, a great big ole 'I was up all night looking at videos not for little kids, why couldn't you just let me sleep?" yawn. Oh, goodness, how they hated being the welcome party for the quote-quote-quote new recruit. A damsel, they were told, was to be coming via motor-carriage and they were suppose to greet her come her stop. Oh Arceus, Sorano knew he was going to make an a*****e of himself. It always happened. Always.
Pushing the door open and shifting the half-asleep Flareon nestled onto his shoulder held up by his other arm, Sorano beckoned the female in.
"Oiii!" he hissed in his best attempts to appear secretive. His attempt was certainly not secretive. "Oi, ova 'ere! Are ya the new girlie who was ta be comin' ta-day?"

Emalthya turned to Soren and his Flareon while Avarice sunned himself. "Well... I was supposed to be here yesterday but I got sidetracked," She said brightly. "Avarice, will you help with the bag please?" She took one handle while her bayleaf grudgingly used a vine to take the other and carry the bag into the shade.
"Are you my guide for the headquarters?" She put down her umbrella and held it loosely in her right hand.

Sorano pushed back his teal-colored hair. "Aye, I am yer tour guide fer tha buildin'. C'mon in a'fore one a those men ova there start fussin'."
Holding open the door, the grunt tocked his head to the side indicating the young woman should walk in. Never yawned again. Oh, it was a human with what Sorano called, "doobies" or something like that. The Flareon flicked its ears and eyed the Bayleef. Hmmph, maybe he now had a conversation buddy? He hoped so . . . these walks through the building sure made him more tired than what he was feeling now.

"Oh thankyou," said Emalthya, tottering inside, leading Aravice with the bag. "This place is much nicer than I expected." She kicked the dust off her scary buckled shoes.
Aravice looked at Never critically. He didn't speak, not wanting to put Em into a predicament she couldn't get herself out of, but remained aloof. Fire hurt. And he liked the way his leaf was all dewy (Em cleaned it for him every night).

Sorano chuckled and his Adam's apple jiggled like an upturned bowl of jiggly-wiggly jello.
"Aha, it be a nice place." he said. "A lil uncomfy, 'specially with tha peeps 'ere. Some a-them are a lil' coo-coo-kachoo in tha 'ead, I included. Aha, than 'gain. All-a-us are a lil' doopa, aye?"
Sorano continued to hold open the door for the large Bayleef, eying his Flareon as he intertwined himself between the grunt's legs. Never took an good look at the arched, dry ankles attached to a lanky and none-too-attractive body. His owner wasn't in uniform, deciding to skip out on this little tour in a button down and khaki shorts. However, the other one -- the female human with doobies seemed to dress much more . . . prettier? She was pretty to say the least, Never the Flareon thought so. If he was a human, he'd probably be knocked off his rocker. Sorano didn't seem to budge though and the Flareon took this as the grunt not being interested. Shaking his head, the Flareon inwardly frowned to himself. His owner was SUCH a loser.

Emalthya laughed shortly, touching the bridge of her nose with her left hand. She looked up and laughed again. "I'm very sorry. The others in the van... they weren't... well you're not what I would expect from Team Rocket." She rolled her umbrella between her palms and watched the flareon weave between Sorano's ankles. "Doesn't that burn you?" She asked meditatively.
Avarice sighed mightily and tugged on his handle of the bag. Again, he didn't want to say anything, but he was tired and grumpy. And hungry. He didn't like travelling. So stuffy. She had said "Everything we want can happen for us here!" and "It will be better- you'll see" and "Won't it be nice to stay in one place for a while?" and he had agreed. Like always.
