Are you sure? If I'm not mistaken, Rose did report that the Elders like Isaiah were able to do that, or at least sufficiently powerful cases during the events of Frostbite. Unless I got mixed up in which case by all means I apologize and must declare that there's Reality-glitches in the time streams at work.

There's basically 3 timeline routes at minimum per the other groups outside Potter-world matters and CHB regards at the moment, THG doesn't seem in need of any and the Dresden Files has yet to get its White Council established.
You'll probably get to learn more about said Timeline splits later on at some point, I'm sure. No doubt things will get complicated if I go in-depth right now.
Cirque Du Freak/The Saga of Darren Shan already has somewhere between 2-3+ Role-play timelines to use at minimum, even without the meddling of a blind one by the surname of Ebony to factor in the matter, for instance.
