I've decorated my whole apartment that way. I thought my mother was going to faint when I picked up a bag that had been the packaging for a king sized comforter, refilled with full length drapes and fabric in the colors I wanted, for a grand total of five dollars.

This seems to be turning into a thread of 5 dollar finds. P.^

I went into a flea market on a whim, and on the back table in the farthest corner was a pair of black ladies' spats for $5. They're old, and so beautiful in their antiquity. I'll get up photographs of them as soon as I have my camera working.
