I'm Tessa lol hmmmmm AK-47 definitely although my Bro-in-laws shotgun is awesome haha

I prefer AK74. Carbines are just a bit more reliable.

Over an M16? Are you crazy? I could understand where you're coming from if this was the 60's and the M16 was terribly unreliable, but now? It's more accurate, the sights are better, not to mention more appealing to the eyes. The AK47 is an ugly a** gun.
I prefer my 74 over my AR and my AR over my 47

i'll cover everything I suppose

ballistically 5.45 is superior to 5.56 and 7.62x39

that being said
5.45x39 > 5.56x45 > 7.62x39

an example...
you can have an 8 inch barrel (or any length barrel for that matter) and 5.45 will do what it is supposed to do and tumble.
5.56 loses the velocity it needs to tumble into a target with a short barrel. both fire in a flat trajectory. but 7.62x39 is like one big ******** arc and only punches straight through targets. over penetration with out dispersing a whole lot of energy into the target. just passes through.

in a SHTF situation the weapon that's coming with me will be a 74.
1. because it's lower maintenance than my AR
2. I trust it more
3. ammo is cheaper for the 74 than it is to shoot the 47 and the AR so naturally theres more ammo stored away for this weapon than any other.
4.it's lower maintenance than my AR

to throw it in there...AK 74 magazines are like the soviet version of PMAGs. you can even say magpul stole the idea from the ak74 and applied it to the AR platform. very reliable.

Hello, I'm Man of the Demoneye, feel free to shorten that if you wish. Basically I grew up around shotguns, and shooting pellet guns in the backyard. Gradually I got into pistols and then rifles, and now I'm hopelessly addicted! I designed a couple different things, but never actually persued them yet.

Guess that's about all.

Man of the Demoneye

Wow, I can't believe I didn't do this when I joined... Anywho, I'm Devon. I may be young, but I am pretty knowledgeable in Firearms. Living in a rural area I've i grew up with guns all throughout my life. I mainly stick to Rifles, especially with special purpose rifles, but I'm best with pistols. I can not hit a damn thing with shotguns surprisingly, yet I can beat my brother at skeet-shooting with a M92.
I hope to be a firearms designer after I finally find a gunsmith shop that will apprentice a 16 year old.

same.

i'm looking looking into getting a cnc machine so I can start milling AR lowers that can take both AR mags AND glock magazines.

the reason you dont see them is that glock mags are too wide for a standard AR magwell.

Really, That's funny that a pistol mag can't fit an AR magwell. Although it is a double stack. But then again, I'm not a huge fan of the glock, it's just not me.

I have, 17, 21, 22, and 37. I just don't like he feel. The weight is a little weird, extremely light frame, but heavy as hell slide. And I don't like the featherlight triggers they have. I'd rather a P99 or USP myself.

it only feels top heavy when it's empty. and the triggers arent exactly feather light.... they're around 5 pounds which is an ideal weight. not to mention it's a short pull and has an extremely short reset.

HK pistols tend to have long DA trigger pulls with even longer resets. as for the weight of the single action pull on an HK (if that hk is fortunate to have one) I would say it's fairly comparable to glock.

why would you even complain about a glock slide being heavier than the rest of the gun when both the P99 and USP's slides are just as heavy if not heavier than a glock slide.

those are all poly frame guns so there's no avoiding it. all their frames are extremely light.
glock, p99, USP. doesnt matter, names dont change the fact that they're all pretty much in the same class

Hey man like I said, just not me. I understand it's an outstanding pistol, but I prefer other ones.

yeah, but just about everything you said that was supposedly bad about glock also holds true in USP and p99

so idk what you were trying to point out....

Like I keep saying, I just don't like to shoot it. Same thing as that i like to drink flat Dr.Pepper and occasionally eat raw meat and prefer a M16 over an AK47, and A G36 over a M16. It's just my preference on things. I would recommend the glock to a new shooter who wants to learn basics and self defense before getting into more complicated mechanism. But I'm not a spring chicken. And I'm not saying there is anything bad to it, infact the opposite, but I just don't like it.
