Last nights bible study at church was the story in Genisis 16 of Abram Sarai and Hagar. How Abram and Sarai decide not to wait on Gods promises for a child and instead rely on their own planning. It made me think of how before I was born again, I always had a plan, and a plan B and a plan C and sometimes even a plan D. I was constantly schemening how to make things work to my needs. Often times all my plans and backup plans would fall through. I am thankful that God is my pan now, and there for I do not need a back up plan!

With "normal", everyday, worldly things, it's good to have a backup plan. But when God tells you "It's going to be this way", not only is no backup plan needed, but it's kind of insulting to Him.
Plus, our backup plans sometimes interfere with His plans, and that's never good. Look how things worked out with Ishmael.
