@Kitty: Where I'm from we always say FACS, but home ec sounds much better.

Constantly suspended for dress code violations.
Yeah, they wanted us to call it FACS around here, too; but I never did because I didn't respect my Home Ec teacher one iota. She wanted to be our friend and not only didn't teach, actually did not know how to cook or sew. If you can't cook or sew, do not become a Home Ec teacher.
