Sooo... How 'bout that Sheet Music Industry? Kinda sucking, eh? For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, now you can complain too!My sugestion for replacing tab sites? A subforum. People can post their tab(s) as topics and you can reply with corrections. It'd be very useful. I assume some sort of orgnization would be needed. Any ideas? Thoughts? Concerns?

I havent talked to pyroboy but I know he would be down with it.
Lets do it, we can all tab out songs, and correct eachother's tabliture.
It will help us all as bass players and unite the guild a little more.
Only here's the thing, we wont call them tabs.
We'll compleatly avoid the entire legal issue and call it "This is how I play ..."
We can orginize it and everything, have an easy to follow guide to posting your own "How I play" lesson.
It will be like independent bass lessons from each person to the group.
What do you guys think?

Well first and formost...This is complet and utter crap! Baning tabs? GraAhHhHHH! Second, thanks for bringing this up heh, I love the idea, im so up for it. Hell, if that doest end up working i could ask my friend for some web space, and get a little privet torrent up that we could keep tabs in. Just a idea...but i LOVE this idea. Let us brainstorm!

Oh and I am also starting an online boycott of sheetmusic.
I'm not buying that s**t anymore.
So if your in with me boycott sheet music and stop buying it.
Hell, make a siggy for your ava saying so, make a sign and post it near your local music store.
Personally I am going to my old highschool tomorow (I graduated) and raiding the old tab archive. (We had thousands of tabed out songs.)
I'll burn it to a disk and start sharing.

Sounds good. But perphaps we should give them another code name that we will all know them as .. like "toads" or something. razz Something easier, faster and more fluid to say (like how the term "tabs" we used) instead of "how to play". Although, we technically arent sociliting them, so i'm not exactly seeing how we could get in trouble for sharing them with our group. Especially if they're personally made by the members of this guild for the members of this guild. Sounds like private use if you ask me. cool
Honestly, I wish I could join you on that boycott Nazgob, but I have to purchase lots of sheet music for some of the stuff I play in school. I'm partially a music major.. so yeah.. im going to have to be bent to the will of purchasing at least until I finish that up. But as far as sheet music in a guitar stores, I never bought those to begin with as most rock songs and such very easy to get down just by listening to them. smile

No one is forceing you into anything.
But yeah we'll come up with some kinda easy name for em.
Oh and I'm not saying I dont like sheet music,
I own some myself.
I just dont like the industry's actions so there for I boycott em.

SEIG! Me and Naz raided the schools tab list, mostly guitar, some bass and some stuff that uses a freeprogram called Bucket o' tabs. We'll get em' up soon.
