When asked how old she was Suzie replied In two years I will be twice as old as I was five years ago. How old is she?

hmm....I'll try:
+2 = 2x - 5
+2 + 5 = 2x
7 = 2x
x = 7/2 = 3.5
She is 3 years and 6 months old?

I think suzie is 12 years old"! I tried lots of numbers soon figured out that it had to be an even number and eventually tried 12.

12+2=14
12-5=7
7x2=14
I hope I is right!

x+2 = 2x - 10
x+12 = 2x
x+12 - x = 2x - x
12=x Answer is 12 = x
