The reporter representing Tous Shinjiko's company climbed onto the ring, moving closer so that his microphone could pick up everything.

"We're coming to you live from GTB IV, Roen Jaeger is surrounded by police officials... if you have children watching I advise that you remove them from the room at this time..." The male said as he watched with intrigued eyes.

"Well, this is certainly a odd series of events."

The owner of the voice was one other than Sokoya Ramak, reigning champion of [The Dark Tournament]. The woman's bloody red gaze was fixated on the scene below. Roen being arrested? Not something that the female fighter would have expected. The devil had too much sway with people in high places.

How did she even know the man? Well, aside from the tailed fighter being her final opponent in her breakout tournament, she'd had some minor interaction with a mutual group of friends. The DeSeers, maybe you've heard of them?

The question is, would Sokoya play a part in all this? Or leave the man to rot in some jail?

"Chanting my name," turning around and looking towards the audience, Roen would release the pent up mana he had conjured for his now useless spell and smirked, brandishing that same hand at the crowd that had gathered to see him fight. "Chanting my name!" No, they weren't chanting his name. In fact, they were booing him. None the less, the Darkened Devil loved the attention, and even bowed a few times in lieu of their jeers. Gideon, however, was not amused. The burly 6'2" soldier in full modern-plate armor stepped away from the wall he was standing beside and issued several commands to the three other soldiers who lined the arena, those three soldiers, though not as tall, all similarly armed and armored.

Their standing orders were quite simple, really: Escort the Dread Margrave to the arena and escort him back to his hotel room after the match. Sweet and simple, yet the arrival of twenty armed policeman, streaming from the entrances, complicated matters to the furthest extent. It was only by the Devil's good graces that he did not issue the order for his soldiers to open fire. Rules of Engagement, as it were. Roen instead watched, keeping the tip of the World Splitter notched into the ground while he was surrounded by twenty officers, the officers in turn being surrounded by Gideon and three other soldiers.

Assault rifles shouldered, rounds already chambered, and fingers running along the frame of their rifles, not a word was uttered between the four as they aimed down their sights, locking in the nearest officer's cranium from behind. The Devil could only frown as his tail twitched anxiously, all this weaponry around him making him quite nervous. This frown could only worsen as one of the officers stepped forward with an outstretched hand and offered an ultimatum: Surrender or Die. Pursing his lips and chewing the inside of his mouth, Roen looked between the superior officer, the police force surrounding him, and his soldiers surrounding them.

Then, the Devil looked towards the audience, rapt with interest and waiting for the climax of this confrontation. Sighing, the Devil would tighten his hold around the wire-wrapped hilt, his eyes going back to the officer with the outstretched hand. Inwardly, Roen wondered how fast he could cut this man's head off before everyone started squeezing their triggers and killing one another. It was a cold thought, surely; but it was a stupid one. Death was not on the agenda today. "I don't need to tell you who I am and what I'm capable of," Roen said finally. "Do I? No, you walked into this ring fully prepared for the consequences of your actions. Admirable of you to come within a blade's length of me. Stupid, yet admirable."

Heaving in a deep breath and sighing, Roen shifted his hand to the pommel of his Daemon Weapon, digging its tip into the glossy arena floor. Gaia had no judicial system. There was no system of courts and appeals or written laws, or any form of working government for that matter. What right did this man have to arrest him? None. No right at all. He walked into this ring and was risking his life for nothing but some mud-monkey trying to bring order to this orderless world. To the Devil, there were only two options set before him.

1) Chop this officer's head off with a negligent swipe of the World Splitter and greet death

or

2) Give up his sword, tell his men to stand down, and be taken into custody.

It wasn't much of a choice for someone who preferred life over death. "You'll have my word that I will come peacefully if you do me the honor of not embarrassing me on live television. That means no cuffs, old boy." Digging the World Splitter's tip into the ground just few more inches, Roen would soon release and leave the weapon in free stand, his arms raising to cross themselves on his chest. Looking at the officer across from him expectantly, he'd wait, brows mildly arched and his lips pursed speculatively.

"Well? Do we have an accord?"

The other officers were clearly aware of the soldiers who suddenly had guns pointed their way, and already drew them out, aiming them at them with their hands gripping their pistols. The officers were wearing swat-like uniforms with helmets, so they were prepared for battle regardless. In addition, the security were already running out to move themselves behind the soldiers, drawing their guns and their swords. They don't remember letting such men into the vicinity in the first place. The ring was even more filled than it was before with the odds clearly against Roen. It was fortunate that he finally let go of his sword.

The leading officer walked up to Roen. He moved himself around Roen, taking out his cuffs.

"Sorry, but terrorists don't get demands. Hands behind your back."

The cuffs were the special kind. Strong, resilient, meant to keep someone like Superman intact. Well, this was an exaggeration, but they were super strong, regardless. Roen wasn't Superman, but they couldn't risk it. This was a man who massacred an entire city. They didn't want to let him do something else similar at an event like this.

As for the security, they pointed their weapons at the soldiers, both police and GTB demanding they drop their weapons.

"Suspected terrorist," the Devil corrected dryly, "I'm a suspected terrorist." Uncrossing his arms from his chest and flexing his fingertips, Roen grimaced and moved his arms behind his back, his deep-set sanguine eyes watching the officer move around his flank. "Watch the tail."

Looking up to his soldiers, Roen would shrug and shake his head. Gideon and the three others would lower their weapons; but would not relinquish them. They would instead step back and away from the officers, watching with undisguised hostility.

The cameras settled on Roen as they watched the cuffs be placed. Once that occurred, everyone cheered, watching as the bad guy finally got his just desserts, just like the applause you would hear at the movies once the good guys triumphed. With the cuffs in hand, the officer led Roen toward the exit, the other officers surrounding him and following suit as the roar of the crowd filled the stadium. The GTB security placed their hands onto the soldiers, pointing and escorting them out in a different direction.

One of the men went to pick up Roen's sword, when suddenly, in a flash of purple and black, it disappeared from where it once stood. He only stood there confused.
