James took the strike but dulled it by gripping out against the wrist with his hand, getting the wrist control he so dearly needed to him from getting cut to bits. Taking wrist control with his own right hand he brought his left across and fed it under his opponents elbow from the outside in and attempted to grab his own right wrist, extending his body out and using his good leg to press against his opponents hips and attempt to 'pass' past his opponents leg and get his good leg over the hips into 'half guard'.

With this control over his own wrist and under the elbow he began to crank his right and left hands down, cranking the arm in a 'chicken' wing type position and then trying to turn the arm at the shoulder the wrong way.

Some what like the gif above, but from guard or half guard depending on how his opponent allowed him to pass with his leg. With 9 to 1 leverage advantage over his opponent due to the position strength was a none factor, and if his opponent didn't do the right escape quickly he would find his shoulder ligaments destroyed and his arm utterly useless.

All the while James adrenaline slowly died off. He didn't have much time left before the pain took his consciousness away from him.

"TAP OR SNAP!"

James yelled as he cranked, but a tap wasn't an option anymore. James was going to do what he had to do to win, even if it meant maiming his opponent horribly for months. Victory would not slip away from him, it meant everything to him. He had to win.

He had to win!

I HAVE TO WIN!

Iopurl would never let James take things that far. His animal blood was pumping, and it demanded it's own toll in bloodshed from his opponent. He wasn't going to think about his actions, he wasn't going to contemplate the effect of maiming his opponent for months. He was driven by rage now.

As James moved his own left arm, Iopurl's free right arm rose, his hand reaching to cover James' face. Clawed fingers would sink into flesh, and eye. Iopurl's middle and ring finger would blind James in one foul swoop, most likely knocking him unconscious from pain in the process, unless he was some sort of super-human, capable of resisting terrible pain.

That was, unless James decided to abandon his arm-lock plan and stop Iopurl's free right arm from smothering and destroying his face.

Mistake made.

James instantly let go of the Kimura in favor of a superior attack, as his opponents free arm came up he took his own left arm, hugging the large furry limb with his own body and moving his head back to avoid the claws.

Sliding his bad leg at the hip over his opponents other leg he switched to full mount easily, as his opponent made no attempt to lock up that leg and stop him prior. Holding this arm in a single armed hug he slide his bad leg up and toward his opponents shoulder, locking the arm tight.

He then took his head and pressed it against the outside of the arm against the elbow, away from the claws while still holding it with his hugging arm. He took his free arm and attempted to slide it under his opponents head and then cross it under him with the hand popping out under the arm pit of the trapped arm.

He then leaned his body completely down, chest to chest with the beast and pressed his ear against the wolfs arm pit and then let go of the hug, gripping the hand that was coming out from the arm put in a 'finger' lock and then slide his good leg off his opponents body, pushing his entire body onto the side of where the arm was locked up.

He then used his good leg to slowly walk himself clock wise upward toward the sky, his opponents head locked in between the grip. All this happened in one fluid nearly instant moment, rather then choreographed step by step way it was explained to make it understandable.

No strength was needed, the pressure from walking up with the arm stuck as he walked up was more then enough to stop blood to the head. He had maybe thirty seconds before he went to sleep. James world was dangerous beyond compare.

It all looked something like this, and the world would soon become black for his opponent.

Iopurl found himself on the floor, the monkey man wrapping himself around the big dog's body in some attempt to put him in a submission hold. Iopurl didn't fully understand the power that was GRAPPLE scream but he did understand the power in an object with a point. His original intent had been to go for his opponent's face, but he soon found that arm pinned down.

He felt himself getting light headed as his opponent twisted him into the submission hold. There wasn't much Iopurl could have done to maneuver out of this position, but there was something he could do to make his opponent let go. In trying to put him in this position, he'd left himself in a rather vulnerable position, as he'd let go of Iopurl's knife hand.

The furry hand did the only thing it knew to do while Iopurl panicked, it swung the sharp object right into James' muscular back, slamming through unprotected ribs, and jamming itself in his right lung. The lung would puncture immediately, and thus collapse. This would result in James' sudden inability to breathe, not to mention the various other complications that result from a pierced lung. With every breath he tried to take, he'd only serve to inflate not his lung, but his chest cavity.

The massive reduction of oxygen he would now recieve would shortly put an end to the hold and James' ability to hold it, especially as the muscular bulk of Iopurl struggled under his massive body weight, thrashing his 220lb form underneath James, trying to break his hold, kick him off, or if Iopurl was lucky James would have faltered upon feeling the incredible pain of having his lung pierced through.

Good night, young wolf.

"YOU ARE IN MY WAY!"

Knife meet back, and pierce his lung it did. A collapse lung normally killed in minutes; but James wasn't ready to die. What his opponent clearly did not understand was the function of how this choke worked. He did not apply pressure by 'holding' it or 'using his muscle' but by simply keeping his arms tight and 'walking' up.

To compensate for his weakness he quickly changed grip, sliding the hand that is under the armpit to grab James own bicep. This allowed him to keep a tighter grip while his large opponent wasted what little energy he had squirming. Squirming played into James attack, and he merely held on as his body faded.

He didn't even try to breathe, he simply held his breath and gripped. He had maybe three minutes left before he passed out from a combination of pain and lack of air, his opponent had under ten seconds. Blood was pouring from his mouth and his eyes were closed tight.

The large wolf could buck away, with much of his upper body controlled he didn't have a lot of leverage to move James, while James had plenty to control him. There was little to no chance of escape unless the wolf basically shoved the dagger square into his skull and killed him where he lay.

A combination of fear and pain kept him holding on. In his mind if he left go his opponent stabbed him more and more and more until he was dead. He felt he was duped and that this tournament was truly lethal. He would hold on until this big wolf fell asleep, and then he himself would probably go into dream land himself.

Despite having a knife through the lung, it seemed nothing was going to stop this literal terminator of a man, not lack of oxygen, incredible pain, nor blood loss. As his grip increased Iopurl began to panic, his hand clenched around the knife handle in order to pull it out and stab it through James again, but that was before he felt so light-headed. Had he always felt like this in the hold?

That was his last thought before passing out.

James released what little air he held in his lungs, no longer holding his breathe he wheezed to take in air before the magnitude of the pain took itself into his mind. He coughed blood all over the ground but did not 'let go' he held his arms together. His grip wasn't tight, but it didn't need to be; the choke worked by laying on the opponent. As he tried to expand his lungs to gain air he soon realized he didn't have long and felt he was about to die.

Then his opponent began to twitch from passing out from the choke. James smiled wide, the crowd going wild at the win for GRAPPLE. James released his grip as to not kill the man from the choke and attempted to stand, but failed miserably. His legs were like water, unable to hold him up he stumbled maybe one step before crashing face first into the hard floor.

Broken nose merely added to the blood he was now leaking. James had two or three minutes to live if he didn't receive very precise and very good medical help. A pierced lung could be fatal in seconds, but not this one. He passed out cold on the hard surface, both him and his opponent out cold.

Victory would go to no one at this point. It was in the hands of the judges now.
