Going to the chapel and we’re gonna get married~
It’s the center-stone of every perfect romantic wedding comedy. The groom realizes at the alter that the person he is marrying is not the person he was meant to be with for the rest of his life. So, he makes a speech about the love he has for his best friend who is sitting in the audience. She smiles, everyone claps, and the bitchy bride is forgotten. After all, who cares about the person he left behind? Love has conquered all!
What would it be like to watch your boyfriend of three years leave you at the alter? How would it feel to realize that everyone thought he was better off without you? Cailean Amadeus, fashion magazine editor and the bitchiest ‘diva’ ever to grace La Vita’s pages, never thought HIS fiance would leave him for the GIRL next door. It was on that day, dressed in white and watching as the only man he had ever loved cast him aside, that Cailean realized how little he truly had: no family to support him in the audience, no friends to offer a shoulder to cry on, and coworkers who hated him because of his spiteful, dangerously-snappy attitude. X had been his sweet doormat boyfriend-- easily stepped on and bossed around. Cailean had never expected HE would leave him.
All Cailean had left was money and fame in the fashion industry. The moment X turned to look back at him, he was crying the first tears the man had ever seen in his eyes. How would it feel to run out of the building and have the person you love simply watch you leave as he took a bubbly girl into his arms?
Everything fell apart after that. Cailean gambled away his money, lost his job, and is now (six years later) working at a strip club just to get by. What happens when a certain possessive businessman wanders into the club and finds his little ex fiancé doing things for random men that he had been far too prudish to do in the past... even in their own bedroom. X’s marriage fell apart and now that he sees Cailean, he wants him back. However, he hardly plans to be a doormat this time and he WILL have Cailean back. This time, he plans to say ‘I do.’
