{Sunrise}//(Make me feel life) (Sunset)//{Make me feel love} YAY you watch DRRR! biggrin It's one of my favorite animes at the moment.
I think I'm one of the few people that really dislikes Hetalia...but I think I'm a little bias because some of my friends are really into it and they've totally killed any chance of me liking it because instances like "We're learning about WW2 in class, and I couldn't stop giggling when we were learning about Germany invading Poland!" -___-
But yes, Ghost in the Shell is my favorite so I recommend that. There's two seasons and three movies, but you can watch the first two movies without having seen the series and you'll still get it. (Actually, I take that back. I saw all of the TV shows, then watch Innocence, the second movie, and it still made no sense. It's a ******** movie.)
Also: ~Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya ~Soul Eater ~Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni ~DOGS ~Witch Hunter Robin (Oh...I still need to finish this anime...)

dark_insanity_13 i third the FMA: Brotherhood as well as the Baccano suggestions. for Baccano in particular i would recommend both the English dub and the subbed version because Funimation did a wonderful job with the voices and such (though i still prefer Vino in Japanese <3)Baccano's dub was amazing! I think the guy that did Ladd Russo's was the best. Yeah, I fourth FMA: Brotherhood. I've been watching it on Adult Swim on CN.

Quote: Yeah, I fourth FMA: Brotherhood. I've been watching it on Adult Swim on CN. i need to start watching the dub! it'll take me a while to get used to the voices again (been watching the subbed version XD), but i have high expectations since they did such a wonderful job on the previous anime and they've got the majority of the old cast back. Gina: sweatdrop i admit i would kind of do the same, but i'd try to keep my amusement to myself unless talking to a fellow fan. even then, i don't hang around any Hetalia fan communities because of the large yaoi/shonen-ai following (i'm not into it), and that's probably most of what they're focused on. i think the only people who could understand GitS2: Innocence are the creators, and people with backgrounds of philosophy or psychology who have consumed copious amounts of inebriating substances. i think the anime runs on a different storyline anyway. speaking of mindf***, i need to watch the Evangelion movies. i've watched the series at least twice, but i have yet to watch the movies, and people say "End of Evangelion" in particular is more of a mess-with-your-head thing than the end of the TV series.

The dub is amazing. I've been watching the subbed version and the dubbed version as it comes out. Al's voice is different, but I think it's actually better...seems to be filled with even MORE emotion. I'm not a HUGE fan of Ling's voice, but it's serviceable.

I kinda feel the same about Ling's voice, but I'm sure it'll grow on me. Spoiler in white if you're not familiar with the manga: I'm looking forward to see how the actor will approach Ling once he becomes Greed.

These three are my favourites: Gankutsuou: Le Comte de Monte Cristo Boogiepop Phantom Doujin Work
so I highly recommend them.
Another series I recommend is Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni. The manga and original games are much better than the anime, but the anime is fun and lol worthy.

But what bothers me is that my friends didn't care about history at all until they saw Hetalia, and then they tried to make it seem like they were better at history than me even though I've loved the subject every since I was young. And I really don't mind the fans, nor do I mean to insult you in any way, I've just been so annoyed by my friends in particular that I find it hard to like the anime at all. 3nodding
But yes, I agree fully that about Innocence. I rented the movie , and it's sitting on my table, so I can watch it again and see if it makes sense the second time around (which I doubt it will). I never got into Evangelion, but that is an anime I really need to see. I love ******** animes. XD

I never got into Evangelion, but that is an anime I really need to see. I love ******** animes. XD oh no, i didn't at all think you were insulting me at all! i can see where you're coming from though. i liked learning about history and world cultures before watching Hetalia, but i'm not very active about it (and it seems no matter how interesting, history documentaries have a tendency of putting me to sleep...i swear it's the narrators crying ). but it's a common phenomenon that people will become more interested in something if it's featured in something they really like, and suddenly they'll think they're like experts. i'll admit i've probably fallen victim to this phenomenon more than once, but it's just something you have to put up with. but if they actually start thinking Hetalia's on-the-nose accurate, i suggest you give 'em good dope slaps. i watched it (or most of it) in my school's Japan Club one year. not sure if i'll watch it again, because i was just that confused. i don't mind anime that makes me think or go "WTF?" for whatever reason (though i prefer the more happy-go-lucky series where extreme amounts of thinking aren't required because it's just enjoying the show for what it is), but Innocence just lost me. oh, you should also watch Paprika! that one was kinda weird too, but i liked it. i might watch that one again someday to try and understand it better.
