Somehow, my Dad managed to knock my saxophone off its stand and smash the mouth piece - 4 days before my audition for a place in a decent orchestra! mad
Despite now being screwed and the audition a doomed failure, I was most angry about the fact that my Dad didn't apoligize. First he shouted at my Mum, then he shouted at me for not having a cap for my mouth piece (I never have. Its never been a problem) before declaring he's off to work and slams the door behind him.
I'm annoyed how he lacks any common decency to say a simple 'sorry'. He never does, and I'm tired of how rude he comes across.
Its like when I'm playing the piano and he comes in and starts watching tv without asking if it'll disturb me etc. That doesn't sound as bad, but to me its frustrating. I'd be in my own piano world and he'd suddenly come along and pop my bubble. He doesn't even react when I growl at him and retreat to a room as far away as possible.
GRRR!
Anyway, I guess I'll update you on how the audition goes. I'm buying a new mouth piece today but somehow I don't think I'll be used to it by Tuesday. To add to my stress, I have an exam in 5 days and have yet to revise. Hmph.
