Drizzt: *Walks out with Nalfein & Kieran* Okay now, please promise me you'll both be nice.

Nalfein: *Shrugs*

Kieran: *Looks sulky*

Malaika: *looks over at the three of them, and tries a small smile*

Drizzt: There she is; come on. *Walks over to Malaika*

Nalfein: *Walks over rather timidly* >.>

Kieran: *Walks over with his eyes to the ground*

Malaika: Hello... *looks at the two sons*

Drizzt: *Bites his lip and looks from Malaika to his two boys*

Nalfein: *Looks up at Malaika, fright gicing way to puzzlement* You don't look very scary.

Kerian: *Mumbles* 'llo.

Malaika: You thought that I was scary?

Drizzt: *Clears his throat* He, uh.......he's scared of girls. Usually. XD

Nalfein: Well.......sorta? XD

Kieran: *Still looking at the ground*

Malaika: Oh, well I am glad I am not scary. *smiles lightly* So I am going to guess that you are Nalfein... *notions to Nalfein* And you, Kieran? *motions to Kieran*

Drizzt: XD

Nalfein: *Nods and smiles a shy smile* Yeah. XD

Kieran: *Looks up suddenly* Are you replacing my mother?

Drizzt: O.O

Malaika: *folds her ears down* No, of course not.

Drizzt: Kieran, please....... D=

Kieran: Well good, because...... *Bites his lip* Because she's my mother. >.<

Nalfein: *Gulps* >.>

Malaika: I could not even dream of replacing her, I have not the right...

Drizzt: *Looks ready to cry* DX

Nalfein: *Nods at Malaika*

Kieran: .......................................Dad said you're a good listener. Would you listen to me? >.>

Malaika: Of course, if you wished for me to listen.

Kieran: Well then.....I wanna talk to you. *Looks over at Drizzt & Nalfein* Alone, okay?

Drizzt: *Looks worried, but nods*

Nalfein: *Nods and moves over to Drizzt* >_>

Malaika: Okay... What is on your mind?

Kieran: Over here. *Walks over until he's sitting out of earshot of the other before turning to Malaika* Okay look; I think you're a nice lady, and you look way nicer in person even, but.... well I AM glad that you're not looking to replace my mother.

Malaika: *walks with him* I think that would be quite selfish of me to even think that I could do something like that. *shakes her head* No, you should never think of myself as your mother, not even close

Kieran: That's good because.......my father has a mate already. And I know she's been gone a long time, but......that doesn't stop making her my mother, you know? And I can't help but think that....that he's trying to replace her with you. *Ears droop a little* I know he's sad and lonely and he thinks she left us, and you seem real nice, but....where does that leave me and my brother?

Malaika: *looks off to someplace distant, that only she can see* I had a mate at one time as well... It has been many years since I saw him... And I have been helping others since then, helping them to obtain their own happiness despite my lack of it... So now, now that I am being spoiled with the affections of your father, whether or not I am simply a replacement... Is it wrong for myself to be happy despite that? Should your mother return, I have already decided that I shall leave this family that I will no longer be welcome in, and I shall not even consider returning... But until then... Until she comes back, will you allow myself to indulge myself in the happiness that is a family?

Kieran: *Opens his mouth, then closes it* I.......I didn't know. I'm sorry. *Looks down at the grass* You know, when we were a family all together, I had another brother besides Nally. His name was Azra. He......sort of hated me. I think I came off as too playful, and he ended up really disliking me. But I never got to make up with with him, because he and my sister and mother left before I had the chance. It's been eating at me a lot, so when my Dad told us it might have been his fault that they all left...... *Sighs* I shouldn't have been so angry with him. I know it can't be his fault; he's been the best dad ever. I still want them all to come back, but I guess I thought that by looking to you, dad was giving up on them, turning his back on them. I think now he just wants to try again at being a real family.

Malaika: When one has regret, one cannot live their life to the fullest. It is nobody's fault as to why your family was split in half, nor as to why misunderstandings could not be resolved before that happened. It is also nobody's fault as to needing a scapegoat in order for something to be livable. It is merely coincidence. Perhaps it was coincidence as well that I should have met your father in the clearing one day? As I have said before, I do not wish to be a mother to you, but, if you will allow me, I should like to stay close to your father, and perhaps one day become an accepted part of the family he already is blessed with.

Kieran: *Nods and rubs his eyes furiously before continuing* I really miss them, and I don't think any of us understand why they left. If it was coincidence, then it was awfully mean of it to break our family in half. But......you've made my dad really happy, and I do feel bad for giving him a hard time about you. And I know you aren't my mother, but......if I had to pick someone else, for some dumb reason.....you wouldn't be a bad one to pick. >.>

Malaika: *looks back at him with a small smile* I am very honored by that

Kieran: *By now looking royally embarassed* Well.....I guess we should join the others. I've probably worried my dad sick, and any girl that doesn't scare Nally he should have little trouble bonding with. XD

Malaika: *nods* That sounds like a good idea. *walks with him back to the others*

Drizzt: *All but hurries over when he sees them walking back* oO

Nalfein: *Crouches down and puts his paws over his eyes* PLEASE tell me you didn't make her angry, Kieran. >.<

Kieran: *Clears his throat and turns to Drizzt* I just want to say, I'm sorry dad. I know it's not your fault that mom and the others left, and......I don't mind you being with miss Malaika if that's what makes you happy again.

Malaika: *says softly to Drizzt* You raised your boys quite well

Drizzt: *Blinks as tears run down his face* Th-thank you son. And I promise, I'll never love either of you two any less no matter what. *Smiles a watery smile at Malaika* They're wonderful.

Nalfein: *Peers out from between his paws* Is she gonna live with us?

Kieran: *Smiles at Nalfein* She's not gonna bite, Nally. XD

Malaika: *wipes off a tear with one of her wings*

Drizzt: *Walks over to Malaika and stands beside her* I hope that's a happy tear, because mine are. ^_^

Nalfein: *Edges a little closer to Malaika, looking less afraid and more curious*

Kieran: *Content to watch*

Malaika: Hello... I will not hurt you

Nalfein: *Stops and looks sideways at Malaika* You look different than the other girls.

Drizzt: XD

Kieran: XD

Malaika: Is it because of my wings? *flexes them* Or because I am rather old?

Nalfein: *Blinks and fidgets* M-must be the wings, 'cause you don't look old at all.

Drizzt: *Chuckles* Come now Nalfein; what would Iggy think of you acting so shy? XD

Kieran: *Mumbles under his breath* -.-

Malaika: Iggy? Is this perhaps a girlfriend of yours?

Nalfein: *Nods* Uh-huh; she's great. ^^
