recently, there has been debates on wether or not her murder scenes are taken too far, especially since the 12 people killed murdered in the local area of Bradford by the Crossbow Cannibal.
the articles say that the kids wern't happy either http://globalgrind.com/channel/gossip/content/1618703/lady-gaga-actually-takes-it-too-far-photos/
http://showbiz.peacefmonline.com/music/201006/44964.php
there's some articles.
what do you guys think?
first of all, this isnt her first time doing it. and i don't mind at all. once again, it's art. and many times throughout history, some of the greatest arts has been the provocative ones, stirring the public opinions. it's her show. nobody elses.

I think to some degree that people are entitled to their opinion about that scene and I wouldn't consider it completely as an art form...it was from a music video and it was creative but some people may feel it might influence someone...just like that little girl video...to do the wrong thing. For example, that girl might be influenced to become a star like Lady Gaga or (judging from some of the things that the girl and other people were doing) may influence her to become...how can I put it... sort of loose....

I find complaints like this so funny sometimes since half those people expose their children to violent videogames or probably take them to see moves where people get blown up.
These people honestly believe GaGa had to change her act in such a short time span? She probably didn't even hear about the shootings till afterward.
An artist should not apologize for art in my opinion.

An artist should not apologize for art in my opinion. This is why I stopped putting warnings on my writings on deviantART. I shouldn't have to apologize for what their looking at. It's their own fault their looking at it. They clicked on it. Anyways, I agree with insane.

Insanely Healthy An artist should not apologize for art in my opinion. An artist should never apologize for their art, period. Art is the strongest manner of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual expression that humanity has to offer. To apologize for one's art is to apologize for any thought or feeling you ever had, or to apologize that you simply exist. Wow, I get really carried away when posting in here. redface lol

Quote: A mother who took her 14-year-old daughter to the show told Daily Mail, "I was absolutely sickened at what I saw.." Good one. Should have done a bit more research on Lady Gaga before you took your 14 year old daughter to the show. Or a little more research on art for that matter, and the extent that Gaga expresses it to.

Did anyone read the comments on the second article link? Some of the people getting butthurt over this did not even attend the show. Taka bout stupid. Not to mention, with how recent the killings had occurred, I seriously doubt that GaGa would have had time to spend watching/listening/reading the current news, so it's not like she knew about it. Not to mention, as has been said already, she pre-plans and rehearses her shows, did such idiots really expect her to just up and change her routine? None of her actual fans had an issue with it, and they would have had no problem if she flat out cancelled for the issue. But the same butthurt people would have then bashed her for cancelling. Some people just cannot be satisfied with anything.

this kind of reminds me of my ap euro project on caravaggio... lady gaga being him w/ violent art, people un accepting yet knowing it's one of the world's greatest talents...
just pointing out how our greatest artists in history whom we admire so much today used to be ridiculed by artisticly ignorant people smile people in the future will look at gaga and admire like we admire several historical arists as herself today
