These rules apply to EVERY RP in this guild. If you want to run an RP with rules that contradict these rules, come to me and we'll talk. Otherwise, guild members have every right to act within these rules in your RP.
Depending on the rule, punishment will be low or zero tolerance. This means that, at absolute most, you will receive one warning about each rule you break. Some rules will require zero tolerance, meaning no warnings before you are banned.
-The RP author is your god. I am the author's god. What I say goes.
-My crew carries my word, which is to say the word of god. Obey them.
-If your character dies in an RP, it dies. No one has to ask your permission. If you can't survive, that's YOUR problem.
-Out of character arguments will not be tolerated. If someone breaks a rule, report it to myself or my crew. We are judge, jury, and, if need be, executioner.
-Any complaints about players who are NOT breaking rules will be dealt with fairly. Which is to say, if you continually report another player simply because you have a personal problem with them, you'll be hit with the ban hammer so fast it'll make your head spin.
-Cussing, name calling, shouting, arguing, and generally being annoying in character is just fine. Pull that crap out of character and you'll be answering to me.
-Sex is awesome. So is privacy. Anything past making out had better be moved to PM, or you'll likely be dealing with zero tolerance treatment.
-Any powers that I consider god modding are god modding. Any that I consider power modding are power modding. If you would like to change my mind, feel free to try. That means raising an intelligent conversation about allowing something I normally wouldn't, not wining like a three year old.
-Sexual harassment, like cursing and arguing, will only be tolerated in character. Rape requires the same treatment as normal sex. In character, these things will only result in punishment if there is a good reason for someone to step in and stop the game to fix it. For example, if the player of the character being assaulted or raped has been through the same thing, they may come to me and ask me to step in and stop it. Otherwise, it's an RP, there are bad guys about, and you're just going to have to deal with it.
-Donate! Any gold you hand in will go to making this guild a better place. What does that mean? Contest prizes. RP tournament prizes. Random awesome junk like that. {Donations go to crew member Kaige Akiro, our treasurer, so that we can use them for prizes instead of just guild expansion. We accept items (which we will sell or use as prizes) and gold(duh).}
-Becoming a member of my crew takes a show of responsibility and skill. The perks? A little bit of authority and a commissioned drawing, in color, of ONE character of your creation.
-Post order rules are as follows
-If all characters are in position to interact, where the actions of any one can effect the actions of any others, then post order MUST be kept in check. For sake of keeping the game running, if a person takes more than 24 hours to post after the last post in the topic, their turn may be skipped, unless the rest of the people playing agree not to.
When the actions of multiple groups of characters will not effect each other, the individual groups must stay in order, but may post whenever they like relative to the other group(s).
In terms of combat, a skipped turn is counted as a connected hit. Two skipped turns means that whoever is fighting the person has stunned them with the hit from the first skipped turn, and may kill them outright.
Another concept that runs hand in hand with post order is timing. Generally, a character should cover only six seconds in a post. Reasoning for this is that you must take into account that you may not be acting unhindered, and posting a large amount of tyme's worth of actions could be referred to as auto-completion, which, in non combat role play, is just as annoying as auto hitting is in combat role play
-Any pictures used in character profiles must be original artwork of the character being described. If you don't have a picture of your character, and don't have anyone who can draw one for you, then DON'T POST A PICTURE.
