Appearance:
Ragnar has often messy blond hair and glasses that cover stormy gray eyes. When outside of his regular school uniform, he will often just put on anything he can get his hands on with only a minuscule amount of matching involved. If he knows that there is going to be conflict, he will often wear military-camouflage cargo pants, a black shirt, a black trench coat, and attach sunglasses lens onto his prescription glasses so he can be able to see better in sun, bright light, and reiatsu explosions when applicable.
Username: ZephyrsBlade
Character name: Ragnar Tobias Neumann
Aliase/Nickname: Rag, Ragnar, Toby
Age: Seventeen
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 142 lbs
Sexual Interest: Heterosexual
Gender: Male
Ethnicity:
Ragnar is a mix of Celtic, German, Russian, Italian, and Scandinavian, although he was born in the United States and later moved to Japan by himself as a sort of international exchange program and decided to stay.
Rank: To Be Decided
Reiatsu Color: Silver
Personality:
Ragnar's personality is what you would expect from the average school student, really. He manages to get high grades by putting in some effort into his school work, although he still procrastinates and often rushes it early in the morning, getting up almost two or three hours before school just to do that. He can be rather lazy at times and non-responsive when day dreaming, physical contact is usually enough to bring him out of it when words have no effect. He is confident in his most of his work and has no worries about quizzes or even tests, but will study like a madman for mid-terms and final exams, being quite paranoid about whether or not he knows the material sufficiently. With most of the people he knows, he will be amiable and easy to talk to while he expresses a less cheerful front with strangers and people that Ragnar is unsure of or make him uneasy.
In combat, Ragnar expresses the calculating and observatively logical view point most Quincies seem to be known for. Although not always successful, he will try to lead opponents into traps and views combat almost as a game of chess with higher stakes, thinking through his every move as much as possible in a short amount of time as to not allow his opponent another chance to move.
Likes:
Ragnar likes challenges, although he prefers them to not be academically related. As such, he enjoys board games that require skill and thought, such as chess. He is not an absolute nerd though and enjoys water activities, such as swimming, sailing, or even surfing from time to time. Even then, despite that, he also enjoys taking small naps outside on the grass when the weather permits and will occasionally sleep outside.
Dislikes:
Ragnar really dislikes loud and obnoxious people who refuse to leave him alone when he is busy or trying to rest. He also dislikes rain since... well... it's rain and it prevents a lot of things from happening, as well as being inconvenient. He dislikes ignorant people who don't know what their talking about yet continue to talk about it as if they did, as well as hypocritical people. He obviously hates Hollows due to the fact that they are Hollows. He has a slight disliking of Shinigami, nothing too major, since they usually happen to be late or ineffective although he will work alongside them if the situation calls for it. And on a bit of a culinary side-note, he cannot stand sushi or any type of seafood that isn't fried, just how his taste buds turned out.

Quincy Cross & Bow Info.:
Quincy Cross:
Ragnar's Quincy Cross
Ragnar's Quincy Cross is in the form of a Celtic Cross in which he wraps around his left wrist to allow for him to easily be able to call out his bow.
Type/ Level of Quincy Bow:
Due to a vast amount of training, Ragnar has mastered his Quincy Bow to a level in which he has even begun to create his own techniques to use and train with.
Quincy Appearance & Description
Quincy Recurve Bow
Ragnar wields a recurve bow when he manifests it. He had done research on bow types and decided on manipulating his energy to form a recurve bow instead of a regular one as it provided additional draw weight and power to his arrows.
Quincy Bow Abilities/ Attacks:
Reiryoku Absorption: Unlike Shinigami, who use their inner Reiryoku to fight, the Quincy fuel their abilities by absorbing the Reiryoku of their surroundings in the form of spirit particles. They primarily absorb them from the atmosphere, and have an easier time collecting this energy in environments with higher concentrations of spiritual particles, such as Soul Society or Hueco Mundo. To a sufficiently powerful Quincy, there is no difference between spiritual particles and spiritual energy as a source of power.
Reiryoku Manipulation: One can manipulate spiritual energy for offensive purposes. They most commonly reshapes spiritual particles into various types of bow and arrows, but can also concentrate spiritual energy into the form of swords or explosives.
Quantity: Ragnar can fire a large quantity of arrows out of his bow, in the upper one thousands approaching two thousand, although he prefers not too since Ragnar prefers to try to conserve reiryoku. He can also fire up to three arrows at the same time if the need arises.
Path Control: Ragnar is able to curve and manipulate the path of up to three arrows accurately, if he exceeds three then the arrows will steadily become more difficult to manipulate and require more concentration.
Negation of Attacks: Ragnar can fire his arrows precisely enough to negate oncoming attacks if needed by charging his arrows with enough reiryoku. Although it makes him feel accomplished when he uses this successfully, Ragnar overall prefers to not use it unless necessary as it can sometimes be harder to control.
Original/Self-Taught Techniques:
From training with his Quincy bow and arrows, Ragnar has come up with a few techniques he had made himself.
Arrow Drill: By sufficiently spinning the reiryoku he manipulates to create his arrows, Ragnar can create an drill-like arrow. These types of arrows can only be fired one at a time and are unable to be subject to Path Control as Ragnar often uses these arrows to break through strong defenses and, due to the spinning, trying to control the flight of the arrows would simply cause it to disappear completely. The rotation of the arrow affects the air and reishi around it too, forcing it to spin too.
Arrow Rain: Firing off arrows into the sky, Ragnar can cause his arrows to fall down, nearly vertically, on his enemies. If he delegates a large amount of his concentration to it, he can keep the arrows in the air for long periods of time because allowing them to fall.
Mirage Arrows: As the name suggests, these spiritual arrows use so little reiryoku that they only form a basic shape that is more often used for flashy shows and distraction than actual combat. Since the arrows are essentially useless and break upon impact, Ragnar can create around a hundred of these arrows using the same amount of reiryoku required to create a regular arrow.
Quincy Techniques Known:
Quincy Bow and Arrows: The basic Quincy ability to manifest a bow and arrow.
Hirenkyaku (Flying Screen Step): The Quincy equivalent to the Shinigami Shunpo and Arrancar Sonido.
Platform Manifestation: Similar to the way Hirenkyaku is used, Ragnar can gather spiritual particles around his feet and form a moving platform under his feet. Though he does not use this often as it requires a large amount of spiritual particles and/or energy to use, Ragnar has been known to use this to surf on occasions as actual surf-boards do cost a lot...
Seele Schneider (Soul Cutter): A Quincy sword that vibrates at high speeds, similar to a chainsaw, that allows the wielder to more easily steal reiryoku. They can also be fired like an arrow.
Ransōtengai (Heavenly Wild Puppet Suit)— This is a high level technique that allows the user to control their body parts using strings of spirit energy controlled by their brain, forming lines or strings out of countless spiritrons. By using this technique, the user can control their body as one would a puppet, allowing them to move freely despite paralysis, broken limbs, or any other force that would impede normal movement. It was originally created to allow elderly Quincy to fight effectively.
Ginto: Small liquid-filled capsules that store spiritual energy, and are used by Quincy for spellcasting in the same way that Shinigami use kidō. Like kidō, they are activated by calling out various commands.
Ginto Techniques
Heizen (Heating/Sacred Bite) --This technique creates a transparent, rectangular beam of energy from silver tubes which slices through the opponent. It is activated by the command:
"Feel the wrath of battle and accept this sacred chalice - Sacred Bite!"
Gritz (Five Rack Ties) --This technique forms a man-sized pentagonal Quincy cross which envelops its target. It is activated by the command:
"A silver rod strikes the five-fingered stone bed - Quintuple Restraining Frames!"
Wolke (Cloud) --This technique uses a silver tube to create a large blast. While it may not be intended for use as such, Uryū uses it to cushion the impact of a fall. It is activated by the command:
"Tilt the goblet to the west - Emerald Grail!"
Sprenger (Explosion)--This technique uses five Seele Schneiders to create a pentagon-shaped seal, which when activated causes a massive explosion within its borders. When an object or a person stands within the middle of the Pentagon can the placement of the fifth Seele Schneider trap them by wrapping and binding their legs to the ground with dense spirit particles. The Seele Schneiders function as accumulators, gathering the necessary amount of spirit particles to create the explosion. The liquid inside a silver tube acts as the trigger. The preparations for the technique combined with the charging time for the Seele Schneiders make its use in battle impractical unless the user has a partner that can stall to buy time.

Bio/ History:
Biography Before Quincy Powers:
As a child, Ragnar was born to a well off family. His father was the C.E.O of a big pharmaceutical company while his mother just stayed at home and took care of him. However, due to his father's position, they often had to move from place to place. Starting off in the city of Boston, Massachusetts on the East Coast of the United States, by the time Ragnar was four they had moved across the country three times and eventually ended up at Seattle, Washington.
One day, his family had a hiking trip to some of the surrounding hills and forests. During one of the hikes, Ragnar stopped to tie his shoes and, not yet knowing how to completely do it correctly, took so long that his parents had already wandered off. They were so engrossed with each other and the surrounding forest that they didn’t even notice that Ragnar was gone until nightfall. Searching frantically for his parents, Ragnar frantically ran through the forest, calling their names. While he failed to find them, he did manage to attract a group of Hollows who were looking to feed upon him. When he finally tripped over a tree root, the blurry outlines of the Hollows prepared to devour him, only for each one to be shot away by a blue arrow that seemingly fired out of the darkness, and when all the Hollows had been killed, a rugged middle-aged man with minor stubble and a glowing bow in his hand stood over him and offered him a hand up.
The man helped Ragnar find his way through the forest and back onto the path towards the lodge, where his parents were frantic with anxiety, having already called the police. When they saw Ragnar and the man, they rushed over and embraced Ragnar, cooing over him and thanked the man profusely and offered him a large sum of money for finding Ragnar. Saying that it was just his duty, the man simply told Ragnar to be more careful and walked away.
A few days later, much to both their surprise, Ragnar saw the man again. In fact, they lived on the same block and he even had a son, Peter, around Ragnar’s age. As his dad was often too busy to care for him and his mom liked the moments of rest in which she didn’t have to worry about their son, and labeling the man as trustworthy, he often spent most of his time over there at their house playing.
Biography After Getting Quincy Powers:
One day, Mr. Charism, the name of the man, told not only Peter but Ragnar, both at the age of six, that he was a Quincy and began to train the two together whenever Ragnar came over, which was becoming more and more often. Although both of them excelled, Peter was always ahead of Ragnar since he had Quincy blood in him and received more training while Ragnar happened to be a regular human who’s reiatsu was increased enough after the encounter at the forest for him to be able to sense spirits and train as a Quincy.
Unfortunately, when Ragnar was thirteen and it was said that Peter and him were possibly one of the brightest Quincies in their generation, his family had to yet again move. This time it was to Hawaii, even farther west. Upon arrival in Hawaii, Ragnar was surprised to find out that there were actually a large number of Hollows there, a larger number than you’d think would be there at a major tourist resort. Settling in at a mansion, it was there that he had his first encounter with a Shinigami, although Mr. Charism had told him about them before, who was battling a Hollow. Although it didn’t take very long, Ragnar was reminded of the blinding speed in which Mr. Charism had dispatched the multiple Hollows attacking him and began to scoff at the Shinigami’s inefficiency when compared to Quincies. It is also here where Ragnar begins to enjoy activities such as surfing, in which he was tutored in for a while.
Biography of Present:
At school, Ragnar easily excelled with his intelligent mind, although he rarely put in much effort until his high school year. Making friends and going through the motions, he decided to apply for the Japanese International Exchange Program his school was offering, with the partner school being Karakura High. After spending three months there and working on his Japanese, Ragnar decided that he would like to stay and, with the help of his supportive parents, he does, living in a two-bedroom apartment. With that, Ragnar uses the extra bedroom for training, as it is nearly completely barren and with walls made out of soul synthesized silver that allowed him to train. In case anyone ever wants to stay over, or if his parents plan a surprise visit, he has a futon and other things stored in the training room for him to sleep in. He still trains in his spare time and his Japanese has improved greatly to the point in where he is nearly fluent with only a slight "American" accent.
