Technical FAQs

Question: I'm told to link something to my profile but how do I exactly link a post?

Answer: To the left of the 'posted' date there is a page with its tip folded in. Right click on it and select 'copy shortcut'. Next using the code, paste your shortcut after the "=".

Question: I'm told to post in a certain style. How do I do that?

Answer: At the bottom left corner of your posting screen, between the box and the [preview] and [submit] buttons, there's a dropdown selection. Click on it to change your posting style from 'say' to multiple other options including 'document'.

Question: So in the ninja class thread, my class says I'm limited to so and so techniques. Do the limits only apply to my element(s)?

Answer: No, the limit includes all your elements including universal techniques. This applies for all nin-/gen- jutsus.

Question: If I feel someone in the crew is being unfair to me, what should I do?

Answer: Notify a vice-captain of the problem. Either they will do something to correct the issue, or they will still find you to be wrong or perhaps just mistaken. However, you really don't need to bring an issue to the attention of another mod if the latter occurs. If two of us think something, it's usually right but we will contact other mods if we think there is a chance we are mistaken. Feel free to debate in OOC topics, but don't let it become an argument and go too far. Nobody always knows the right answers.

Question: With what rank do I start and how can I 'level up' to the next rank?

Answer: You always start as a Genin, unless your Kage gives you an auto-rank where the Captain's approval is needed. All level ups should be done through Exams. There are three types of exams: Chunin [Where after finished, you achieve the rank of Chunin], Jounin [Where after finished, you achieve the rank of Jounin] and Sannin [Where after finished, you achieve the rank of Sannin], all those should be done after the other, so obviously a Genin cannot take on the Jounin, or Sannin Exams, he must work his way through the ranks.

Question: I want to use my own Kekkei Genkai for my character, what do I do?

Answer: There is a Custom Bloodline/Clan thread in the [Creation] Forum and that is where you create your Clan/Bloodline. Fill out the application form with the asked information and one of the MODs will Approve or Disapprove it. After accepted it will be free to use and listed in the respective Clan or Bloodline forums.

Role-playing FAQs

Question: What do I do if I need to talk to the Kage, but he/she is really busy?

Answer: Either go do something else and come back later or, if it's super important to you, make a clone of some sort and go do something else as your actual RPC while you leave your clone to do the talking. When you`re done talking to the Kage as a clone, have it come back to you and tell you what happened and then have the clone "expire" (poof away).

Question: What should I do if I get bored with my character?

Answer: The best thing to do is avoid building "noob-tube" characters, which are characters that invest all their stats and bloodline to maximizing damage. Such characters usually have the "emotionless hard***" personality as well, and as a result you end up with a character that has almost no room for character development. There`s nothing wrong with making characters focused on dealing damage instead of defence or support, but make sure the character's personality and back story can work well with such a fighting style and create an interesting story.

Also, don't treat this game like a campaign game where your only goal is to gain rank as fast as possible. It's true this guild is all about character development, but we mean through character to character interaction, not spamming training.

Also, trying to get your character to be rouge as soon as possible makes for little chance to have squad interaction, and therefore your character development will be restricted.

Question: The Kage of my village is busy, and so is my Sensei. How do I train higher ranked techniques now?

Answer: Each village sub forum has a topic where some profiles, with a different layout than ours and those are the NPCs [Non-playable Characters]. There should be also a NPC requesting topic where you request one of those Characters to train yours, as told in those topics, the NPCs are controlled by Crew members. So, be patient for sometimes not all crew members are free, some are offline while the others are Role-playing with their own character, so don't lose your patience and wait.
