I have a bit of a question. In the song/scene, "Who Ordered Pizza?"... Amber says, "A traitor to GeneCo! Tonight is her last show!" Why do you think Blind Mag is a traitor? (Did she visit Shilo before or after this scene? If so, this could explain it.) I just want your thoughts and opinions on this.
It gives me fanfiction ideas.

Well, the very fact that Mag wants to leave GeneCO and break her contract is enough to make her a traitor. Especially in Amber's eyes.

She has breached her contract by wanting out. She has been with GeneCo since she received her corneas, so she more than likely knows the general strings Rotti likes to pull and she cannot just hand over her eyes and say "******** this! I quit!". Plus, she was Marni's best friend, and since Marni betrayed Rotti, Amber is probably referring to that connection; if she was tied with Marni, she is automatically a traitor, just like how Rotti holds Nathan accountable for what Marni did.

So...
Mag was Marni's best friend, and Marni left Rotti for Nathan. This would most likely make Amber hate Marni, but Marni dies. Amber hates Mag, because Mag was Marni's best friend. Then there's that thing with Mag's contract and her corneas; Mag wants out but can't ust hand over her corneas. To Amber, wanting out of GeneCo (what she thinks is her future job, or something to that sort) is treason.
Also, Amber wants to sing in the Genetic Opera, but Mag is always the main attraction there. Amber probably can't understand why Mag would leave GeneCo (and by extension, the Genetic Opera) so she decides that Mag's a traitor.

I actually just see Amber hating Mag's guts because she is competition for her, hence why she keeps on bugging Mag at the carnival about who is going to replace her. She could care less about what Mag does with her contract so long as she is out of the spotlight enough so she can shine as GeneCo's head star.

Ffft. I feel so silly for posting this now. All of your answers never really crossed my mind. They were benign thoughts in my brain. o-O But all of you are right now that I think about it. It all makes sense now. I just thought about something completely different when thinking of those lines.

A.) It was not actually a reference to Blind Mag, but to Nathan. In the end, Rotti does refer to Nathan/ Repo Man as a 'traitor to GeneCo.' Therefore, Rotti was giving Nathan a glimpse of his future if he went againt Rotti's orders.
B.) Blind Mag knew everything from the start. As everyone said before, Mag was a threat to Amber, but also to GeneCo. She knows her eyes are to be repossessed. She is being punished for the one thing she can never have. That being freedom. She is a traitor for desiring her freedom, but most of all the truth. The film displays Post Modernism. There is no absolute truth, yet we search for it within our lives. In the end, she reveals to Shilo a portion of enlightenment. Mag only gets her freedom through death where she also finds the truth. The truth is up for interpretation. As Nathan sings in Legal Assassin, "I am only living out a lie!" Both connect back to this idea of being a traitor and the search for truth.

Her new sight blinded her from the truth, so becoming sightless is the way towards it. However, the "traitor to GeneCo" part is just that; she betrayed GeneCo after seeing the truth and wanted out. She never knew the truth until a short time before her final performance because when you look at the comics, it states that she "thought she had the perfect life" when in reality she was the marionette to Rotti and his corrupt company. When she realized that the "contract was signed in blood", she saw the truth then and there, knowing that in order to be free she would have to die. You are correct in that singing "Chase The Morning" and projecting Marni for Shilo was a way to help enlighten her about the truth her father has been hiding from her all along, along with the help of Graverobber. However, Mag did find the truth, which is why she had to die. It was not absolute, just like perfection cannot be achieved, but it was enough for her to open her eyes completely. Same thing with Nathan. It does not apply to Shilo, though, since she is still young and has yet to find all the answers in her life.
