I've always just put up with the growling stomach sounds and I don't really feed him... I sound mean when I say it like that. sweatdrop
Still, I've never died and it's very rare that my character eats.

Yeah I figured it out the first time he did it when I saw him grabbing his stomach... stare anyway, to answer the topic question, highlight the next line for spoilers...
You do die in the end... sorry and I was pissed too, but it happened.It happens after playing through ten years ingame (not counting the years the game elapses while your son grows up.

I eventually just fed him eggs. 3nodding I had quite a few hens, and lots of eggs. I kept trying to do work, and I hate that Guu sound. Highlight the next line for spoiler:
I hated that too. I was like, OMG! You're making him die! And they don't even say what he dies from...

Just feed him any wild plant or fish.
If you feed him those, he eats like 3 of them a day.

I was too mad. I kept thinking, "Why?! Why the freak does he die before everyone else that's way older than him?" I wanna know how he dies.

Genbu no miko Marie I never thought it was possible to die in Harvest Moon, you may have proven me wrong. eek actually yo can die yah now!
