►► Jaden Gray Knight Such a reaction to a simple question. So it would seem she knew him, and clearly didn't like him. Why would she dance with him then. This girl was nothing but puzzles and mysteries, there was no way he was going to figure it out soon despite his desire to. He glanced around trying to get his thoughts together, and she asked him to dance.
His eyes landed back on her face, where the was a smile. It seemed natural on her face, though she hadn't smiled much in his presence "No offense, but it is the mans job to ask the lady to a dance" Setting down his drink, he offered his arm and escorted her to the dance floor. Being who he was, dancing was second nature and he usually tried to avoid it. But it was good every once in a while to seal a business deal, or to show his position. He rest his hand on her back, slightly above the waist, and held her other hand gently and started to lead the dance.
"So tell me. No one is here escorting you. Do you have business? Are you in the market? Or are you trying to marry into something?' He didn't know anything about her. Her intentions, anything. Not knowing was something he didn't like, though she did make it fun. Still, he had to know. It was eating him away on the inside, and it was frustrating.

N a t a l i e F r o s t She raised an eyebrow when he said it was a man's job. "Well you should have asked sooner then," she simply stated, before watching as he got up. He definitely had a different style to dancing. More elegant. It had a rich feel about it. There was barely any emotion. No passion. No anger. She pushed the thoughts out of her head though. It didn't matter how he danced. She was here to gain her freedom.
A small laugh left her lips when he questioned her about why she was here. Oh the answers that she could give him. A smirk took the place of her previous smile. "What would you say if I was here to protect you?" her voice was barely above a whisper. She had leaned in slightly when she spoke so that only he would here. After all.. anyone else could be listening knowing her crowd of people.
The slow dancing was starting to get to her but she didn't let it seep into her features. She was used to a fast paced life. Running away from the police and gangs did that to her. Making a short spin, she then returned to having one hand in his and the other on his shoulder. Her eyes glanced at him before looking past his shoulder to see who was watching them.
Now that she thought about it, her answer could be taken in several ways. He could hire her as a bodyguard once they had a long talk. Take it as a joke, which it wasn't completely one. She had to keep him alive so that she could kill him later. And he could take it as if she was flirting. She didn't know which one he would chose. They all worked in her favor but she much preferred the first option. ~ x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x ~

►► Jaden Gray Knight Witty, very witty. But he wasn't going to deny her the dance she asked. He was used to girls trying to get him to dance with them, but he always rejected. Nothing to gain from it. They only get inflated dreams about him and it always causes nothing but problems. He rested his hand on her back and held her hand. Leading the dance, slow but steady. The music was there only to keep time, once he had the rhythm he drowned it out. It was bothersome having something going in the background when he didn't really want to listen to it in the first place.
"to protect me. I didn't hire anyone, i sent no notifications that I need someone. And I don't hire women. So if you said you were here to protect me, I would say you were lying." He continued to lead the dance, very focused. Jaden hardly glanced at her while his brain thought of what she said repeatedly. To protect me... False. I can do that myself, and I have my own staff. Obviously a lie, but why? What can she can if I believed her. Trust? Access to somewhere with high security?... What if she knows something I do not. Or is apart of something. Better keep her close, but not too close.
The dance continue, only briefly did he glance at her, and she was looking behind him. Which made him think even more. This girl is certainly a mystery, something to keep his eye on. As the dance ended, he removed his hand from her back and gave a gracious bow. "thank you for the dance. I would compliment your dancing skills; however, what I saw earlier and just now, you are no novice dancer. Where did you learn? He straightened his back and looked at her, curious.

N a t a l i e F r o s t Well, even if he said it was a man's job, he still got up to dance with her. He lead. Usually it was a fight between her and the male about who would lead or she danced on her own when she got the chance. To be honest, she didn't get to dance that often with her line of work. Though she did go to the occasional club. No one asked for names there. She could do as she pleased as long as the spotlight didn't shine on her.
Raising a brow when he said he didn't hire women. "I didn't ask you to believe me," she told him, turning slowly with him as the dance continued. Really, how did these people live in this slow pace? Her gaze lowered for a moment before she shook her head, getting the curls away from her face. She had to figure out how to get into his system. His schedule. Obviously he wasn't going to hire her but perhaps things would change if she took a bullet for him. If that didn't happen.. well then she didn't really want to play the role of a girlfriend.
Giving him a small curtsy when the dance ended she noted that he was still holding her hand. Keeping her close was he? She'd disappear soon enough. "No problem," she answered. Hearing his question about where she had gotten her skills, she shrugged her shoulders. "Maybe it was a long lost dream of mine to become a dancer," she told him. There was a kernel of truth to that answer. She loved to dance but she knew she would never have it as a job. She had gotten too tangled up in the underground to ever surface to the world where she could actually do that without becoming a stripper.
Having the urge to pull her hand away from his, she pushed it down within a moment. After all, he had to get to know her.. to trust her. "I'm going to the balcony," she told him, not really wanting to go back to the table full of prissy girls with their funny hairdos. He could follow her or go back, either way she needed to check something. ~ x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x ~
