To Rp? Nah, Unless say I needed to do promos involving multiple characters. As of now though, in my guild I'd probably use my main Chrono account as the authority figure for announcements and stuff but rping I'd switch back to this account. It's much easier

[M]a.r.t.s Arc Celestial WWE:E - Run by one guy, but without a crew forum, so this either means that he's a bit of a dictator or he's quite liberal and asks for opinions from his members. Frankly, for being into guilds with and without crew forums, for running my own RP and for being crewmember in several places, I can tell you that in several occasions, crew forums are more a source of pressure from the bottom to the top to get what one wants, that it is good for the guild or not, than a helpful tool to the guild. To put more punch to my point, the best days of EEW were when there wasn't a crew forum. As soon as the crew forum appeared, there was pressure done on the owner, decisions taken that were not really going in the right directions, creation of a kliq getting everything because of the influence of certain crewmembers who were giving themselves more power than the owner himself, etc. The problem is not entirely solved yet, but it's on its way to be a thing of the past. Closer then you may think. I wouldn't call that dictatorship, but refusing to be influenced and manipulated. When you start a guild, you should know what you wanna do with it and the direction you want to take with it and that's what makes people join at the first place. And you brought-up the idea of a crew forum I recall! xd

I'll just say that I didn't know back than what kind of problems it could cause, like some ganging up the whole crew against one person or into one wrongful cause.

[M]a.r.t.s I'll just say that I didn't know back than what kind of problems it could cause. Fair comment! At the moment though it's working well as a place for the guys booking the shows to ask for opinions and for organising results, odd-jobs etc. 3nodding

I see it as this. A crew is essential because what happens when the guild owner disappears for awhile. The guild dies. Plus having a crew means that while one person is moving closed threads, another can be posting updates.
Also one man crew guilds can show the guild owner being a bit biased at times.
That's just my opinion anyways

Yeah, the crew is important, but what we were talking about here was the crew forum.

So what if there was a working crew, but within an open-based crew forum? So that everyone can see it?

Arc Celestial So what if there was a working crew, but within an open-based crew forum? So that everyone can see it? I think the discussions in a crew forum could be taken way too personal by some to be brought on the public place. Not to mention that a crew forum is not really a crew forum if everyone can post as they wish and it could screw many plans and storylines that is wanted to be kept secret.

It would be a good idea to use correct punctuation and grammar. But yes, especially with the developmental show idea, it's a good idea.
