((What is this weird story.

Anyway, plot is mine (not really original, but I thought of a story like this), and charas are mine.))

Prologue:

Werewolves, or lycanthropes as they are scientifically called, are essentially, a work of fiction. These creatures have invaded the imaginations of many, and, in truth, have mystified us. In fact, a team of scientists began to create 'lycans' by combining the DNA of wolves and humans; done so by splicing their genes together to create embryos of the creatures and incubating them in status tubes used for cloning during their embryonic development, then removing them from the status tubes when they fully developed. However, these 'lycans' only lived for a few hours. After weeks of observation, the scientists had a theory why the 'lycans' died.

When the DNA had been spliced together, a few traits had appeared that none of the species have ever had after being born; the 'lycans' had become parasitic, meaning they had need a host to connect and develop with. They were unable maintain heartbeats without a host, or develop in the status tubes without risk of death after removal. This would mean that these lycans would have to develop within a female's body, like that of a normal pregnancy. There were some doubts about this; humans have a longer gestation period than wolves, but another trait would allow for the 'lycan' and its host adapt to the pregnancy. These 'lycans' had cells that allowed the host to have a rapid pregnancy; regardless of age, as well as develop within the womb itself, without a placenta. After its birth, the 'lycan's' umbilical cord would still be attached to the host, until the creature itself could maintain a steady heartbeat on its own.

A second experiment began, all the scientists needed now was a volunteer, willing or not.........

((Well, that's that for the prologue. R'nR and thanks!))

Chapter 1: New Life

Catherine 'Kitty' Dylans was bored out of her head, as usual. It was usual for the brown haired, brown eyed, thin and modest girl to be bored. Which was why the biology teacher asked her to volunteer at a science lab. "Fifteen-year-olds like you need experience for classes you will take in the future." he had told her. Kitty shuddered though. By the end the school day, she had a paper listing the name and address of the laboratory. Great. she thought. Another day of staying home and hanging out is ruined, and on the last day school....... Kitty didn't live with any legal guardians, so just cleaning up and living a life was a bit easy for her.

After she took the bus to her scheduled stop, she began to walk to the laboratory. Twenty minutes later, she was at "Appoli Laboratory", which had appeared to be the name of the place. She walked up to the door and opened it. Kitty then walked up to the receptionist's desk. "Hey, I came here to do some volunteer work;" she said. The receptionist just said; "Wait here." She then walked off. Well, that was easy. Kitty thought with a smile. She waited patiently until a young woman with red hair walked into the room. "Hello, I'm Dr. Lunias, I believe you're here for some volunteer work?" she said. "Yeah." Kitty replied. "Well, fill out these forms and we'll get started." Dr. Lunias explained.

For half an hour, Kitty filled out her information on the forms, then gave them to Dr. Lunias. "Ah, good." she replied, reading the forms. "Now, Kitty; if you would just follow me..." Kitty began to follow the older woman down the hallway; but halfway down the hall, Kitty began to fell very faint. "Hey, Dr. Lunias? I don't feel too well......" she muttered. Kitty tried to keep up with the older woman, but she was becoming very dizzy and could not walk steadily. Soon after, she fell to the ground unconscious.
O-o-O-Kitty's P.O.V.-O-o-O

Huh?......What's going on......why can't I open my eyes.....or move.....or feel anything....?

"Are we ready to proceed?" "Yes, her legs are in the stirrups......."

Proceed?........Stirrups?......What the hell are these people talking about?

"....it's ready to go in. Nurse, hand me the forceps......."

What would these guys need forceps for......or why.....?

"Alright, we are ready to......"

Damn it! I can't hear what they are saying!

Huh, I feel funny.....what are they doing to me?!

Please let this be a nightmare......ah......my stomach! It burns! What's happening?!

".......Good, we managed to get it inside her......."

What's inside me?! What are they talking about?!

"Alright, remove the forceps......."

Is it over? My stomach still feels warm.............

"She's responding well to the implantation." "Bring out the ultrasound machine....."

Implantation? As in a transplant.......or something else?

I got to stay awake.......can't go to sleep.....got to......

O-o-O-o-O-o-O

"Are you alright?" a voice asks as I open my eyes. My vision's blurred and my head is still spinning from passing out..........

"Dr. Lunias?" I ask. "Yes, it's me. How are you?" she replies. My vision's clearing up, which is good, but my stomach feels.......oddly warm. "I'm feeling a bit dizzy and my stomach feels like somebody stuck a hot water bottle in it, but other than that, I'm fine." I said. I try to stand up, but my legs feel wobbly. Dr. Lunias grabs my shoulders in an attempt to hold me steady. "Listen to me, Kitty..." she says, looking me sharply in the eyes. A chill runs through me. Was she going to tell me that what I dreamed about really happened?

"...You need to stop working so hard at school. You were so tired that you fainted." Dr. Lunias says, smiling warmly. Oh. "Okay. I'm going to go back to my house now." I said. "Just rest for a few hours. You should feel better by morning." Dr. Lunias advises me, then added; "And things don't always seem like what they appear." I nodded. "Good night." I muttered.

I had to take a taxi home, or rather, near my house. I live in the woods, in a modern home. It was going to take at least half an hour to get there, but I felt up to it.

As I was walking, I felt an urge to rub my stomach. I thought it was weird, but I did it anyway. It eased the warmth a little.

When I got home, I walked upstairs to my bedroom, changed my clothes, brushed my teeth and then sat on my bed. I rubbed my stomach again, trying to figure out what had happened. Was my dream real? Did the scientists there do some sort of experiment on me? I tried to deny it, but......

Suddenly, my stomach felt weird, then I felt like......I was having an orgasm or something. All I knew was it felt good; very good....... I moaned as I looked unwillingly at my stomach. It began to expand slowly, but quickly. I covered myself with the sheets. What's happening? I asked myself, but I said unwillingly; "Oh.......god.....it's coming......." This scared me. I didn't know what was coming, but it was like I was having a baby. I looked at my stomach again, and saw that it looked like I was pregnant. Pregnant and ready to pop. I placed my hand on my stomach again, and the inside of it twitched. I cried out in fear. I saw a small bump rise from my rounded belly, then quickly retract.

I tried to get my thoughts together at this point. I'm not pregnant......I'm just having a hallucination from working too hard at school......Yeah...... The inside of my stomach twitches again, jolting me back to reality. I finally realize that I'm going to actually have a baby, and it's kicking right now. Carefully, I placed my hand on my stomach. I felt the baby press its hand against my stomach and touch my palm. A smile crept on my face. This feels good, really. The baby's hand retracts again then its kicks repeatably, as if to say; " I'm ready to come out now!" I rubbed my stomach to calm it down, but it kept kicking. My other hand, as if possessed, began to remove my panties. I didn't stop it.

Soon, my panties were around my ankles, then my legs slowly spread out. I continued to rub my stomach, but the baby was restless. Then, it stopped kicking. I felt the same good feeling that I had earlier, except......something was coming out. A thrill of excitement ran through me. "Its coming......" I said. "I can't believe it, my baby's coming......" I thought labor was supposed to be painful, but this was different. I felt a burning sensation between my legs, but I also felt something squirming out my body. I panted in pleasure, moaning as the baby wiggled free. Within minutes, something began to crawl on my stomach.

It crawled under my shirt then began to suck on my chest. Curiously, I peeked under my shirt. There, suckling on one of my boobs with its eyes closed, was the baby. It looked cute, but different than a normal baby should. It had a patch of black hair, a small tail, paws for hands and feet, pointed ears, and a rounded muzzle. It squeaked as it drank. I picked it up and held it. It still had the cord attached to it -no; he had his cord still attached to him; he was a boy. I wanted to cut it off of him, but he whined the very second I thought of that. Then I felt something move to the base of my spine. I pulled on my panties on impulse, got out of my bed then removed the covers. There was no blood, no afterbirth- nothing.

The baby squeaked again, shivering. I grabbed a shirt and wrapped him loosely in it. I noticed something about the cord then; it looked like it was made of skin. I shuddered for a bit, then shook it off. I walked to my bed and covered myself and the baby up, trying not to cover the baby's face so he wouldn't get smothered. The little guy yawned, then opened his eyes. They were a deep, calm blue. He's even cuter with his eyes open! I thought, petting his head. He made a purring noise, smiled and then licked my face. " Good night, little guy." I said, closing my eyes.

Chapter 2: Name

~Kitty's POV~

Uhhhhh.......I'm still sleepy.......my back is cramping.......

Huh? My back???

I sat up and looked at the clock. 5:30 a.m. Still startled about the cramps, I placed my hand on my back. I moved it down my back until I felt something sticking out; near my tailbone. I felt the bump, and after a few minutes, I realized it was a cord. The baby! I thought in fear, worried that the little guy might be sick or worse; dead. I turned around to where the baby was sleeping and got the shock of my life.

There was a human boy my age sleeping where the baby had been; with long black hair, and he was completely naked! I was about to scream when the boy suddenly woke up and quickly placed his hand on my mouth. I froze, scared and completely confused. He removed his hand from my mouth, and kept looking at me with deep blue eyes as if he were trying to calm me down. Then, the boy sat up, rested his head on my chest and........started purring?!

My eyes wided in shock. He can't be....but then..... I was in total shock. I decided to ask the question that was now on my mind. "Are you....." I asked, trying to at least understand. My hand gripped the cord attached to my back and pulled lightly. The boy winced then gripped my hand, as if to say; "Don't do that!" "....Sorry." I said. The boy began to pet my head now. I began to realize that this boy was the same baby that had come out of my body last night.

Wait, was he nodding?

Yeah, he was. "I can't believe it. I don't want to, but then......." I tried staying calm and thinking it through, but I knew this was too weird and freaky to be true. The boy noticed how scared I was and scratched me on gently on the head. I felt a little calmer, but I was still confused.

Oh, wait. I forgot about this, but then I just remembered it.

"Er...you don't have any clothes on." I told the boy. He let out some kind of bark and wrapped the sheets around his body. He looked at me, embarrassed. I pulled gently on the sheets so I could see his chest; at first he wouldn't go of the sheets, but then he let me pull down the sheets up to his waist. He didn't look strong at all; or I thought he didn't. He was lean, but not too massive, and thin. I looked at his navel and saw the cord sticking out of his midriff, which just proved that I had him in my body and gave birth to him last night.

He stood up and wrapped himself up in the bedsheets again. I sat on the edge my bed and looked quietly at him. He looked at my computer chair and sat in it. "Would you like me to get you something to wear?" I asked. He cocked his head at me, meaning he didn't understand what I just said. "I mean, would you like some clothes to put on? That way, you wouldn't be naked." I rephrased. This time, the boy nodded. I saw the shirt I wrapped him up him last night and handed it to him. Then, I got up, walked to my closet and looked inside. I took out a pair of jeans and handed them over. Then, I turned my back to him so he could put on the clothes.

I started to think about what happened last night. For one, why did this happen to me? There must've been millions of other women that could been used.......For two, why is the cord still attached to me? I feel like I'm a host to a parasite.......Lastly, why isn't he understanding a word I say? Something interrupted my thoughts, like a feeling of concern. I turned around to see the boy with a sad look on his face. Well, at least he was wearing clothes now. "Oh, look, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, it's just......" I said, but he reached out and touched my shoulder, looking me in the eyes. His eyes seemed to say; "I know, but I can't help it. It's who I am."

He hugged me tightly and rested his head on my shoulder. He was shaking in fear, and I could feel a couple of teardrops hitting my nightshirt. Suddenly, a wave of sadness ran throughout my body. I realized that his emotions were somehow being channeled into my body the very second he was showing them. "It's okay," I said, petting his back. "Don't cry, everything will fine." The boy raised his head and looked at me sadly, nodding.

Just then my stomach growled.

The boy's stomach must've growled too, because he looked at me hungrily and licked his lips. "Let's get us both something to eat." I said. He nodded. Part of me was worried because he couldn't speak, but somehow I could understand him. Both of us stood up, and I walked with him downstairs to the kitchen. I began to gather ingredients for scrambled eggs while the boy began to poke and prod at random objects. He must be curious about the whole kitchen. I thought, smiling. I took a pan and placed it on the stove as I turned on the front burner. I could tell that the boy was watching me as I prepared the meal for both of us.

Half an hour later, the boy and I walked to the dining table with a couple of forks and two plates of scrambled eggs then placed them beside each other on the table. I pulled out a chair and sat down to eat, but he looked at the food. I pulled out the chair next to me, and he got the gist of what I was trying to say; he sat down quietly next to me. I picked up my fork to eat, but he grabbed a piece of his meal and yelped, then began licking on his hand; he had burnt himself. I realized I was going have to teach him a whole bunch of things about living normally. I remember when I was trying figure out what was going on or why it had to happen to me, it seemed like he could read my thoughts. I began to wonder if I could teach my strange new friend these things by just thinking it.

Well, it's worth a shot.

Alright, I thought, I know you're eager to eat, but you don't eat scrambled eggs with your hands. Instead, use the fork. I watched to see if he understood. He looked at me, nodded, and picked up the fork....with his teeth.

Oooh, so close.

The boy realized that I wasn't biting on my fork, so he grabbed the fork with his hands, stabbed into the eggs and raised the fork to his mouth, then bit on the fork.

It took a while, but eventually, he got used to eating with a fork.

When breakfast was over, I decided to take a shower and brush my teeth. One problem: there was a fifteen-year-old boy attached to my body by a fleshy cord. Is there a way to take a shower without him seeing me naked? I thought to myself. The boy looked at me, confused. Crap. How was I going to explain this to him without him having to actually see a girl naked......

Something happened then. It felt like someone had pulled something out of my back. I looked at the boy and saw him holding the cord. Okay.....now this is weird.

O-o-O-o-O-o-O

After taking the shower and changing my clothes, I walked back to the living room and saw the boy sleeping like a dog would. He woke up and ran up to me, then hugged me. I felt the cord attach itself to my back again; a feeling like being stabbed in the back and having a moving arm stitched into your body.

Okay.......now I know this thing can come off of me...
... I thought, and the boy nodded; I decided to ask something. But how long will you last without it? It seems to mean the world to you to be stuck to me...... The boy held up four of his fingers. Four......hours? I guessed silently. He nodded.

The phone rang just then. s**t.

Ignoring the confused look on my friend's face, I answered it. "Hello?" I asked. "Hello, Kitty?" Dr. Lunias' voice asked. "Doc!" Man, was I surprised and pissed. "Doc, you have some explaining to do. Big time." I said in a low voice. "Oh....ah, well, come over to my office and we'll discuss it." she said, and I heard her hung up.

Crap.

The boy whined in confusion. "That was a doctor I talked to yesterday. She wants me to come to her office, so you're coming, too." I explained. I felt a feeling of understanding in my mind. "Alright, but it's going to be weird for people to see us connected together by that cord, so we need to 'separate' for a while." He nodded.

I thought of a plan we could use, and both of us agreed.

O-o-O-o-O-o-O

We walked together to the edge of the forest. "Ready?" I asked the boy. He nodded. I felt the cord de-attatch itself from my back. I looked at my friend and saw the cord slink under his shirt and wind itself around his stomach. "Okay, we have four hours." I said. He nodded. I grabbed his hand and held it. "We can do this." I told him. Both of us walked from the forest to a city sidewalk and the boy cringed. I figured that he hadn't seen a city before, so I held tightly on to his hand. I could feel a sense of fear coming from his body. So, I can feel his emotions even when he's not connected to me..... I mused quietly. He nodded.

Well, at least we still have that weird mental bond.

I had to hail a taxi to get to the laboratory. During that whole ride, the boy kept looking out the window to look at the buildings. When we got there, I paid the taxi driver and both my friend and I got out of the taxi.

Appoli Laboratory. Yep, this is the place.

I held the door open so that the boy could walk in first. I walked in next, right up to the receptionist's desk. "Excuse me, is Dr. Lunias in?" I asked, even though no one was there. A few seconds later, Dr. Lunias walked up to the counter.

I wasn't very happy. "You still have some explaining to do, Doc." I said. At this point, the boy walked up to the counter. "Oh, right....well, if you just follow me...." she said, walking away for a few seconds then reappearing at the door next to the receptionist's counter. My friend and I followed Dr. Lunias until we reached a room that was like a doctor's office. The boy sat down on the medical bed (and became interested in the crinkly paper on there, too.) and I sat next to him.

"I have to go and do some work. Would you two wait for me until I get back?" Dr. Lunias asked. "Alright." I said. As both of us watched her leave, I felt something piercing my back. Quickly, I placed my hand on my tailbone and then realized that the cord had attached itself to my back again. "Hey, at least warn me before you do that!" I cried.

The boy start to hiss then; or I thought he was hissing. I became scared at first, but then I was stunned when he actually spoke for the first time.

".........sss-sss-sorr-ry..."

His voice was quiet and calm, but very gentle. ".....Did you just-" I started to ask, but then he looked at me and nodded. "Oh my god, this is incredible.....I mean, you're actually starting to speak!" I ranted happily. "Speak?" he asked excitedly. Holy crap, I wish I had a video camera! This meant I could talk to him instead of sending him ESP messages!

Wait, I still needed to call him something........

"I just realized this." I told the boy. "I didn't give you a name." He just cocked his head a little and asked, "Name?" "Yeah." I replied. "It's something you call someone; some are good and some are bad, but most people are given a name after they are born."

For a little while, I began to think of names for my friend. He had rejected most of them when finally I just decided to say the first name that came to my head.

"Adrian." I said. For a minute he looked at me in confusion, then he nodded. "Okay then, I'll call you Adrian." I agreed happily. He smiled at me, and hugged me tightly. At least we were both happy.

Dr. Lunias returned at that point. "Er.....are you two alright?" she asked.

Awkward.

(finished with this. Sorry if it's a little rushed. sweatdrop )

Chapter 3: Finally, some freaking explanations!

~Kitty's POV~

Adrian and I let go of each other. We were embarrassed about being seen hugging each other, even if Adrian had begun to speak. "Sorry...." he muttered. I didn't say anything, mostly because I was embarrassed. "It's alright, you two." Dr. Lunias replied.

I gained the courage to speak again. "What is going on here?" I growled. "I mean, I came here yesterday, then faint, then after that I somehow get pregnant, then after that-" Dr. Lunias cut me off at that point. "Look, there's many things I have to explain to you, but calm down. You're scaring your boyfriend." she said firmly. "Boyfriend?" Adrian asked, confused and scared as hell. Crap. I hadn't gotten to explaining how he got here.

"He's not my boyfriend. And as weird as it sounds, he's my son." I said, then added; "And his name is Adrian." Adrian nodded, trying to (or at least trying to) back up what I said. "Oh, I apologize." she said; she had said it calmly, which was strange. I didn't really understand why she said it that way.

"What has happened to you seems nightmare-ish, but we had to do it to you because you were one of the only people that volunteered........" Dr. Lunias explained, but I interrupted her. "One of the people? You mean you experimented on other people?" "......Please don't interrupt me when I am speaking to you." she warned me firmly, then continued. "The original experiment didn't involve impregnating women at first. Our scientists- and myself- created hybrids and had tried to complete it by using status tubes for their development only, but the subjects we had created kept dying.

"Because of this, we had to plant the embryos of the newer subjects inside the women's bodies to save their lives. To them, the women that would later give birth to them and care for them were their lifelines and hosts. They are parasitic-as you might have guessed, but instead of living off the host's blood supply, their hearts simply mimic the heartbeats of the hosts through a flesh-like cord attached to the host's back. Without it, these 'hybrids' would die after 4 hours Because their hearts would not be able to keep a steady rhythm their own.

"Kitty, have you tried to guess why Adrian is acting so strange?" Dr. Lunias had interrupted her long lecture to ask me that. "Not really...." I said, feeling slightly embarrassed. "I mean, sometimes he does act like a dog, but..."

"The reason why is because his DNA is a mixture of both humans and wolves; the exact DNA that the subjects involved in the experiments we are conducting here.

"To sum it up, Adrian is....'unique' and is not able to live without you, literally." I was stunned by what she said. Adrian, however....wasn't as stunned. He seemed to either understand everything or didn't want to say anything. Okay, this is scaring me........ I thought.

Why?
For a minute I looked around the room; trying to find who had asked that, until Adrian grabbed my shoulder. He looked into my eyes with a frustrated look on his face. Why are you scared? I heard his voice in my mind.

Oh, right. He can read my thoughts. Looks like he's starting to send me telepathic messages, too.

I'm scared for both of us. I responded. I wasn't lying; the thought of Adrian suddenly dropping dead spooked me, but I was also afraid he might attack and kill me for no reason at all. That's when he let go of my shoulder and hugged me tight. I won't hurt you or anything. I promise. Adrian quietly responded to me. He seemed to understand what I was trying to explain to him.

Well, at least Dr. Lunias had explained what was going on.

A red-headed girl at least two years older than me entered the room at that point. "Dr. Lunias, you wanted to see me?" she asked. "Ah, Melody." Dr. Lunias said, smiling. " Anyway, you came here just in time. Kitty, Adrian, this my assistant Melody. Melody, these two are Kitty and Adrian. In fact, these two need to do some clothes shopping; would you mind taking them with you?" Both Adrian and I had realized that we didn't plan to get anything else after coming here. "Sure." Melody responded. "I needed to get a few things anyway."

We were allowed to leave after that.

O-o-O-o-O-o-O

I knew Adrian wasn't used to walking in a city (it didn't help that we had to 'disconnect' before going outside), so he kept holding on to my hand. The three of us, Melody included, found a clothing store in half an hour. Getting Adrian to go inside wasn't easy either. We almost had to push him in. After we got in, he squeezed my hand very tight. "It's okay." I said. "No one will hurt you here." "A-are you sure?" he asked. I nodded. Besides, you need guy clothes and we're going to get you some. I thought quietly. Oh. Adrian responded.

It took a while, but we managed to find Adrian some clothes. As he tried them on, I tried to clear my head and think. I had to somehow keep Adrian alive and not expose our secret, but how could I do it?

Yes, I can. But I need to figure how to do it first.

"Err....Kitty?" I looked to my right and saw Melody with a surprised look on her face. "What is it?" I asked. "You better come see this..." she said. I got worried then. Was Adrian dying? I followed her for what seemed like minutes (nearly running there) until we reached an aisle that had dog collars. Like the ones you would see dogs actually wear. And Adrian was wearing one around his neck!

I had to bite my tongue to keep from laughing. Melody was giggling like crazy. "What?" Adrian asked curiously. "You're wearing a dog collar." I said, trying not to laugh. "I know this looks silly, but I didn't like any of those spiked ones over there." I'm guessing he means those puck rock accessories....I can't say I don't blame him; those things look like they can kill someone. I thought quietly.

Soon, we were at the cash register, paying for the clothes that we found for Adrian. When the clerk asked me who the dog collar was for, I lied and said that the collar was for a friend who had a puppy.

"Let's go find some place to eat." I said, holding the bags of merchandise. "Um, actually....I got to go back to work now." Melody said. "Dr. Lunias is expecting me back soon." "Oh...okay." I said. We watched her walk off and then started to look for a restaurant. After a while, A mugger grabbed me and dragged into a dark alley. I didn't expect this to happen. "Give me all your money or you're dead." He growled. Adrian somehow ran up to me and shielded my body. "Stay away from her." he whispered angrily. "Nice try kid, but your sister's going to pay very dearly." The mugger said cockily. I closed my eyes and got ready to scream as loud as I could.

Suddenly, I heard a growling noise in front of me. I opened my eyes warily and saw Adrian baring the teeth at the mugger, trying to scare him off. In fact, his teeth started to look like fangs! I stared at him as he began to change slowly. The mugger shook in fright, then ran off screaming; "Mad dog!" over and over again. Adrian slowly turned to look at me. Before my eyes, he returned to normal. "I'm sorry....but he was going to kill you. At least, I think he was..."

We got out of the alley and hailed a taxi to the nearest restaurant.

O-o-O-o-O-o-O

We walked inside a nearby Chili's, where I managed to get us a booth table so no one could see Adrian's cord attach to my back again. "Are you alright?" I asked Adrian. "Not really." he replied. "What happened back there?" I asked curiously. "I....I saw him drag you off. I ran in there and tried to protect you. Soon after he threatened you, I.....I don't really remember....all I knew that you were in danger." "Oh." I said. I was proud of him, and at the same time, scared of him.

I wanted to ask him about last night, but I thought I was pushing it too far. Maybe after he had a bite to eat, he would be easier to talk to.

Both of us had ordered a cheese-steak sandwich. As we were waiting, I asked Adrian quietly; "Do you remember anything about last night?" He nodded. "At first, I didn't really know where I was. It felt very warm, but that was I all remember of that place. Next thing I knew, I wanted to get out. So, I did.

"What I remember next was being wrapped in some kind of cloth, looking at your face. I watched you fall asleep, and soon fell asleep myself.

I woke up later that night, and felt very strange. I didn't know what was going on. Then, every part of me start to hurt. It felt like I was being torn apart and put back together. As it stopped, I realized what was happening. My body was....somehow getting older. I raised my hand up to my eyes, and then figured out I became a human as well. I drifted back to sleep at that point."

I looked at him quietly. Adrian had somehow explained how he changed from a little baby into a fifteen old in one night. "Is that all?" I asked quietly. He nodded.

Soon, our lunch arrived. As we ate in silence, I wondered; If Adrian is half-wolf, then why does he look human?

Don't ask me.......
Adrian replied.

After eating, having to 'disconnect' once again, and paying the bill, Adrian and I headed for home. I wasn't really sure of what was going on, but Adrian and I were in for a big adventure.

But not yet; then we'd be rushing the guy writing this story.

Chapter 4: Changes

~Adrian's POV~

It has been two days since I was born; although I have learned to be human within those days. Kitty and I had spent those days cleaning, relaxing and attempting yoga (of all things, especially on the Wii ). I seemed to have better balance than Kitty, who had trouble keeping her balance after twenty seconds. It seemed to be the best times I've had so far.

At night, however, I found it hard to fall asleep. Both Kitty and I had to share the bed, but at least we both had different sheets. However, no matter how hard I closed eyes and tried, I couldn't fall asleep. This left a different option; stare out the window until I became tired. It became a calming experience to me, as well as terrifying. I would hear wolves howling mixed with screams of humans; an eerie, inhuman sound.

And yet, it filled my body with a longing, a feeling something was missing........

Tonight was no different. I stared out of the window into the night sky, hearing the inhuman cries that came every night and shivering as the empty feeling filled me again.

Except I didn't become tired at all. My body didn't allow itself to fall asleep. Within minutes, I felt a pulse run though me.

I sat up quickly. What's going on? I asked myself. My heart was still beating calmly, but I could sense something was wrong. I looked out the window again to find my escape, and saw the full moon shining in the sky. I let the light shine on me, and tried my hardest to calm myself.

A second pulse ran through me, jolting me back to reality. I shivered. Another pulse jolted through me, making me gasp. What's going on? I thought in panic. Soon, more pulses jolted throughout my body, only this time, I felt like my body was being set on fire, frozen alive and torn to shreds, all at once. I tried to scream, but my voice was being held back. Cautiously, I raised my hand and watched as claws grew, painfully splitting my nails apart. My hand also stretched rapidly; their fingers shrinking, and within seconds, skin seemed to puff up on my fingertips and palm.

I gasped again as the pain spread to my legs and mouth. My canine teeth fell out, only to be replaced by fangs. I felt so scared and horrified and.....

....so alive. It felt so good; all this energy and pain, it was the best feeling I was experiencing. I knelt on the bed, panting as ecstasy ran through my blood and body, and feral screams echoed through my mind.

Fear spiked through me once I realized this wasn't normal at all. I needed help........

O-o-O-Kitty's POV-O-o-O

Adrian shook me awake; he was trying to say something, but all I heard were whines and growls. Sitting up, I looked over to my side and saw that Adrian had turned his back to me, doubled over in pain. I carefully placed a hand on his back. "Are you all right?" I asked quietly.

N-no.....help........
he responded telepathically, and turned to face me. Adrian looked very scared, but his eyes......they're blue, not amber! Adrian whined, then closed his eyes. Help...need...help... he whimpered. I moved closer to the edge of the bed to calm him down (as scared as I was), but he only fell onto the floor.

I almost stopped breathing. Adrian was curled up on the floor in pain, and his body was changing.....but into what?

He looked at me with an agonized face, reached out with his hand......no, his paw and managed say; "Please....help....." Suddenly, he started growling at me. I was completely scared now. I watched as his ears became pointed and his tailbone grew longer. I looked at his feet, and saw they had changed into paws, too.

Crap. Why me?

Adrian stopped growling, then looked at me, this time with fear in his eyes. His ears had now moved to the top of his head and a fully grown gray furred tail flicked quickly back and forth in confusion. His body had stopped changing, thankfully. He opened his mouth to scream, but he.....howled instead.

I carefully climbed off the bed and slowly approached him. "Adrian, are you alright?" I whispered. Adrian didn't reply and pounced on me instead, growling. For a minute, I thought I was dead. Adrian wouldn't hurt me, right? I asked myself.

Then Adrian stopped growling and licked me on the cheek.

I couldn't believe this! He was acting like a puppy!

I smiled in relief. "Thank god you're not going to kill me." I said. Adrian barked in response. Hey, what was I supposed to say? 'What's wrong with you? You scared me half to death!' He was my friend, after all. I'm sorry I scared you, but I feel a little better now..... honest. He said quietly. He rested his head on my chest and purred quietly. I scratched his head, trying to scratch behind his ears.

Er.....Kitty?
Adrian asked. "Yeah?" I replied. Can we go outside? I froze in place. "Why?" I asked. Within seconds, Adrian looked at me, his face looking all pouty. Pleeeaase? he asked. "Alright, you win; you're lucky I have trouble saying no to someone who gives me a pouty face."

As I changed my clothes, I began to realize something. Adrian might be a werewolf, and, for some reason, he manages to keep himself in control. I thought. Then again, werewolves-

Please stop saying werewolf. Adrian muttered. I don't like that word.

Okay......anyway, lycanthropes turn into giant wolves or wolf men or whatever, and Adrian looks like a nekomimi wolf boy right now; no offense, Adrian.

It's okay, I'm not offended.
Adrian replied to my split second apology.

Wait a minute. Dr. Lunias said that Adrian had both wolf and human DNA.......Then that means there's something she hasn't told me..........GAH! I'm confused!

Oy.....does my brain hurt. Maybe walking in the woods will clear my head.

After slipping my shoes on, Adrian and I walked downstairs and out the front door.

O-o-O-o-O-o-O

I was right. Walking in the woods did clear my head a little. Adrian seemed to like it outside; he was nearly dragging me everywhere. In fact, he even caught a deer!

No kidding. He did. As in tackled the damn thing and bit it on the throat to kill it.

As I watched him devour the poor deer, I wondered if I could talk to Dr. Lunias about this.....not yet, though. I don't want to bother her in the middle of the night.

Adrian walked up to me, his face still covered in blood. That deer tasted good. You should've had some. He said, licking some of the deer blood off of his paw. "Umm.....No thank you." I replied. Fine with me. he responded.

Good thing he doesn't think I'm a food item.

Suddenly, we heard something move in the bushes. Adrian started growling.

"What is it?" I asked, feeling tense. Someone's spying on us. Adrian replied. Someone who isn't human.

((Cliffhanger! Anyway, review.))
