So, has anyone else noticed this correlation?
Apparently it's impossible to be an internet geek and not have something to do with Japan. It's mostly anime obsession that I notice, but it goes farther.
No matter where you go on the internet there is going to be SOMEONE who loves anime. Actually, on almost EVERY site I go to, there's either a discussion for anime, the site is about anime, or someone has created a section of the site for anime.

Damnit Japan, why must you infect the interwebs?

Not saying I don't like it though, seeing as I love Japan XD

Hmm. Interesting question. I am both an otaku ( serious anime fan) and one of those pesky Westerners. I do see your point, however. Even on some other forums I belong to, that have nothing whatsoever to do with anime, it seems there's still a section for it.

I just grin and run with it.

Besides, not counting Gaia, I'm on three other forum sites devoted specifically to anime, plus the shows I watch there,as well as a fourth I just watch shows on, not actively participating in their forums. In the ones I'm active on, two of them have sub-forums on learning Japanese and the Japanese culture.

In short, kiddiwinks, I'm addicted. XD
