Katakana is the style of Japanese writing where each syllable has it's own symbol. Please view these forums, and practice remembering each symbol. It won't be easy, but it will stick after some practice. I learned by writing them all down in a notebook and rewriting them everyday. 3nodding

I was wondering for a while because I've been trying to remembering the symbols for a while, but aren't there any katakana symbols for syllables like, da, di, du, de, do, or ba, bi, bu, be, and bo?

iv been using flah cards but the rewriting idea sounds like a good alternative ^^

but once a day isnt good enofe. experts say you need to re-do the learning exercise once and hour 5 times a day to really retain the knowledge ^^
