A single eye kept its focus inbetween the hard brush on the ground below. A tiny fluff of tail sticking its way out -- glowing a bright blue colour. A young pup curiously awaited the moment to taunt someone passing by. Nestling his way deeper into the bush, his white belly rubbing up against the hard surface.
Goby always caused trouble on other wolves. It was what he did best, even if he didn't realize he was doing the wrong thing. It really never mattered whether it was right or wrong -- more or less if it was fun. A quiet grunt of joy left the pup fall deep into a silence. Ary Keeyara Shanti lay perched upon a long, thick branch in a tree not far away. Her slender, but powerful body was easily adjusted to life in the treetops. She used this strange resting spot both in need and out of habbit. Lately she had no need of stealth in any form, but kept it out of feeling strange when it was gone.
One white ear twitched lightly to the side as she caught a scent on the wind. A flutter of wings beating against the air near by told her that someone else was around. Blinding Dust, also acting out of habbit, wished to inform her of another being here. However, she already knew about it. The scent was extremely young, most likely a pup.
She lifted herself up to stand in perfect balance upon her paws. Her ears pulled forward and her crimson eyes glanced about her. She spotted a blue tail coming from a bush below without much problem. Ah ha! So that was where the little one was "hiding". She tilted her head to the side thoughtfully for a moment, watching.[ ipod ]
The young pup wriggled his way out of the brush, backing up slowly -- trying his hardest in not making a sound. He captured the scent of the opposing wolf. So soon... He grinned and tagged his way behind the tree the other wolf was resting in.
A single paw pad was raised to the bare bark. The tree seemed a little high but, it was worth the efforts to make his way up. His hindlegs scrunched onto the ground below -- in the leaping position. Goby aimed himself and lept up as far as his body would take him, hoping to catch a low branch.
His maw snapped shut loudly. His location had been given away. He wriggled about grasping onto the small branch within his teeth as much as he could. His many attempts to swing his hindlegs up had failed. A thought of letting go was beginning to cross his mind.
Ary Keeyara Shanti had watched the pups efforts with mild interest and slight confusion. Was he trying to reach her? What a smart young one. She couldn't help but wag her tail rather cheerfully at this. So many wolves overlooked her when she sat up this high, and she wasn't even trying to hide.
Without a sound she leapt down from the tree with a smooth, firey quick grace. She landed without a sound, as she had been trained to do since birth, and went to stand near where the pup hung. She tilted her head to the side as she blinked at him, as though questioning what he was doing.(( Goby plans to become a ninja, iPod? )) [ ipod ] The blue pup's eyes peered below in awe. A single snap of the branch led him down to the ground below, where he landed making a quiet tap. He placed himself close to the opposing wolf -- eyes glaring her way. He wasn't much of a talker himself, he was more action than anything. Strange enough, he somewhat looked up to this female. He'd never met another wolf like himself in the past.
Goby nodded, tail wagging violently in all the excitement. The scar on his chest became more visible, as it gave off somewhat of a glow as much as his blue fur did. He peered down below, unsure of what to say to this ... wolf.
"Hello." His voice was deep, deeper than that of any other pup he'd met with before. "So, I meet another...?" He barely sounded like a pup -- but rather an adult. His eyes came to a single slant, a grin forming on his maw. (( Yeah, he plans to become a ninja. ;3 )) Ary Keeyara Another? Shanti's ears flickered the side in slight confusion. What did he mean? Somehow the pup did remind her of her clan, but she was the last of it. He couldn't mean another silent wolf, either, for he had just spoken. Very strange indeed.
Her tail swished back and forth again and her maw curled into a smile. Though she seemed rather open and friendly there was an air about her-and air that said this was only one side of her and that the other was far stranger and more dangerous than this one. Perhaps it was her eyes...for there was something in them that often made other creatures nervous when they looked too closely.(( :O That's cool! Shanti would so offer to...um...train him if she could talk. xD Well...maybe. )) [ ipod ] Goby curiously tilted his head to one side. The least this wolf could do was greet him. A snort came from him, as he backed up a bit. "I suppose you don't greet others?" Eyes rolled as he looked down to the ground. "I guess you didn't understand what I mean't? ... " His tail came to a pause, as a serious feeling ran through him.
"You see, the moment I was born -- I was given a scar to remember the wolves before my time. My ancestors came from a pack called the Hidden Leaf, apparently. I noticed the same mark on your forehead. ... the same mark I will bare for the rest of my life. I know I don't come directly from the pack, but I was related to one." A nod was directed to the female. "So, do you have a name? ... ... My name is Goby. ... My mother named me ... a long while ago." Ears folded back, his gaze returned to the floor. (( ack I gotta go to bed, soon... D: )) Ary Keeyara Shanti's ears flickered back in slight sadness. Her greeting wasn't...well...a greeting to him? She wasn't surprised, she had got that alot from wolves who spoke so fluently, but she had hoped...but it did not matter now. She listened to the small pup closely.
She had never heard of the clan he spoke of, but it seemed they did share a marking. This, however, didn't tell her much. None of her clan had thought the marking special. When he grew sad, after offering his name, she felt rather warm towards the little one. Poor thing was all alone, like her! Not that she minded being alone, but to be so young and by yourself...it must be hard. She went over and sat beside Goby and licked behind his ears comfortingly, but made not a sound.

The pup gave a soft sigh and he looked back up -- staring into the shewolf's eyes. A smile lit across his face as he came closer. It had been ages since another wolf ever made him smile quite like that. He gave a giggle and turned away from Shanti.
He never felt so happy quite before in his life, aswell as the love from a mother. A yawn echoed in his maw as he laid himself down, leaning against the black and red adult. A feeling of comfort rested in the pit of his stomach. He was happy here -- but really wished to return to the mindless pack of wolves he actually considered his family. Although, he had to admit, he really wanted to find out what the whole deal behind this other wolf was. Goby's eyes lit up more as they made their way high into the sky.

Shanti's eyes seemed to glow with striking affection as he smiled and looked up at her. It was strange that one such as she, a killer, could be so affectionate and warm. The two ideas seemed to conflict with one another greatly, but there was no doubt that both were completely true. This, perhaps, was the the fault of her mother, but there was nothing to be done about it now.
She settled herself closer to the ground and to his small form, wrapping her tail around him slightly as she side so. She was quick to find the position comfortable and had no problem remaining there.
