[[This is an RP reserved only for the members of the Barasuishou/Narcissa bloodline, which includes Bara and Sissy, Ki, Calix and Pet, and Crowley, Hollis and Alana]]

Barasuishou had met briefly with her grandson Crowley, but had yet to meet her other grandson, or her granddaughter. She hadn't seen her son in a while, and her daughter Pet has changed so much since she was a fawn. And lastly, her mate, Narcissa. She had been so busy that she forgot to keep tabs on her lovely hind. The meeting was called to join their beautiful family together once more, to allow everyone to know each other.

She was filled with a ghost feeling she could only assume was anticipation, since she was wearing her eyepatch to guard herself. She could not afford to be too emotional, now, could she...

Kiraki did meet her niece and her nephew, and so far she's liked what she's seen. So pretty! So fabulous! Hollis was still a mystery, but he clearly took after his father -- strong and fashionable like only a warrior can pull off. She stuck close to her Mama's side, bouncing in place. This field was perfect for the meeting, it was breezy in the heat, and the ground was soft and blooming.

"Mama, you'll just love it! Everyone's so fabulous~!" She chirped. "I'll get to see my family all together at once, oh, Mama, aren't you excited?" she said, knowing that deep within her mother, there has to be some feeling. "We'll all have so much fun!" she said, nodding her conviction as she waited for the others to show up.

Calix was in a terrible mood as he scanned the path before him, heading towards the meeting place. His easy, but lonely life was starting to go horribly wrong, and he just hoped this family reunion wouldn't make things worse.

Of course his mother was helping the situation either, he'd had to force her to come along, which was rather difficult considering she was too busy being enthralled by her own reflection. When he'd reminded her she'd snapped at him, complaining about how she didn't want to be pulled away and whining that what she was doing was important.

He didn't need her nagging, he as already worrying about finding his missing paintbrush and troubles with his friends and... other herla that he wasn't terribly fond of. He the worries piling up upon him, building up stress and accumulating in the form of sorrow.

Narcissa took graceful steps through the underbrush, her curls flowing behind her, the occasional bounce jostling them. Her eyelids were lowered as she thought about what was going to be taking place in just a few feet, an odd feeling in the pit of her stomach akin to nervousness.

The calming effect that admiring herself had been was ruined by her son interrupting her, mentioning that they were going to be late and pushing her along. She couldn't say she appreciated her own son lecturing her either.A small sigh escaped her, her ears laying as flat as they could with her mounds of curls tucked beneath her hat.

Peeking through the bushes, she spotted the purple cloth and creme colored furs that belonged to her mate and one of her daughters.

"Calix, we're here..."

Perpetua couldn't keep from smiling every time she had a moment to herself so she'd been keeping herself busy hoping that no one would notice. As she strolled through the tall vibrant grass, toward the place her mother and sister were, she tried to keep her son from seeing the large grin on her face. I wonder what Alaric is doing right now, she thought to herself before she giggled like a younger girl. Pet hadn't felt so carefree in a long, long time and it was liberating not to have to stress over the fact her relationship with her mate was less than satisfactory.

Crowley had already asked her once what was going on with her and why she was so happy. She'd just tossed her hair back from her eyes and smiled, explaining to him that he'd understand someday. When she finally arrived at her mother's side, she gave a soft smile and offered her a greeting, "Hello Mama, how are you doing? Hello Kiraki~" Nodding her head a bit, she offered greeting to her mother and brother. "Hello Calix, Mother. It's lovely to see you all today."

Crowley was gagging at his mother's good mood and was suspicious about why she was radiating a feeling of good will. He'd never even seen her smile before but here she was and he couldn't figure her out. Whatever, he'd just do what she wanted him to do and then leave when something stupid happened. He didn't care for his family but he'd respect his mother this once.

Following not far behind her was Perpetua's daughter, Alana. While normally the petite pink Herla would be as close to her mother's side as physically possible, today she lagged behind, taking great care not to dirty the sleeves of her new kimono. Though this still proved to be quite the hard task. "M-Momma, C-Crowley wait up!" Momma seemed very happy today though so there was no slowing her down and, while Alana questioned her mother's happiness in her head she didn't ask. She was happy simply seeing her momma so very happy.

Finally reaching to where her mother and brother had stopped, next to two Herla that could only be her grandmomma and aunt, she paused behind Perpetua, attempting to hide. Her shyness overcame her as she thought to herself, "What if they don't like me..."

"-And I played with your aunt Kiraki when we were just fawns, I am quite looking forward to seeing her again! Now, I admit I do not know your uncle Calix very well, but this will be our chance, Hollis. I expect you to be on your best behavior-oh, you are not a fawn anymore, I really should not have to say that, should I...? No matter! I trust this will be a very pleasant meeting. Your mother's side of the family is beautiful-" Alaric went on, obviously very excited about this little family get-together. Although he carried himself with a renewed sense of pride and dignity, there was a spring in his step that his daughter at his side could not ignore. That, and the...

...chattering. He was chattering, for Guardians' sake. Her father never prattled on like a yearling-hind, wasn't he supposed to be the strong silent type? Hollis had long since stopped listening, not that she could get a word in edge-wise anyway. She wasn't particularly looking forward to this whole affair, but decided to go along with it to please her father. Even so, Hollis couldn't feel annoyed. She was just thrilled to see her father so chipper again.

Alaric quieted when he saw mate, Perpetua, and her family in the distance. Suddenly, he wasn't so sure anymore. But he wouldn't let it show. Holding his head up high, Alaric proceeded confidently. He had to prove himself good enough for Perpetua. With a bow, Alaric rumbled, "It is an honor to have been invited here,"

Hollis snapped out of her thoughts as her father went silent. Well, he was right. They were beautiful. And Hollis was immediately struck with the thought that they didn't belong. Her mother, Perpetua, this delicate little beauty she never even got along with. Her whole family looked like a bunch of snobs. And here was her father, Alaric, a rugged mountain buck who decorated himself with feathers he had collected himself, not these silly clothes. Hollis adored her father, and it was no wonder. They were so alike. Would they really be able to mingle? She stood gazing defiantly around at them as Alaric bowed, now even more unsure than ever of this dumb family reunion.

Kiraki squealed as her family arrived. "Calix, Mother, Pet!" she cried and bounded over to them. "How have you guys been!" she said, her voice filled with curiousity and excitement. She stopped listening so she could move on when she saw her niece and nephews.
"Crowley!" she said and gave her nephew a nuzzle whether or not he liked it. "And oh! Is that your daughter, Pet?" she said when the young hind caught up, her long white sleeves dragging on the ground. "So pretty!"
She stopped gushing over her niece and nephew when Alaric and who she assumed was Hollis arrived. She grinned wide at them. "Alaric! And oh my gosh~ Is this Hollis?" she said as she started to examine Hollis. He looked so much like his father, with the same gallant look about him. "That cape looks so fabulous on you, dear!"

Barasuishou smiled lightly at her eldest daughter as she made noise and emoted about the rest of the family. She turned her attention to each of the arrivals slowly, taking in the sight and analyzing it.
Her mate was beautiful as ever, her children had grown, and her nephew looked as he did when she met him before. The new ones however...
Alana looked weak. Where she came from, that weakness would have resulted in getting your soul stolen, by your own sibling. She had to remind herself these children did not play the same dangerous game of her home. She was beautiful like her mother though.
She stared at Alaric briefly, her yellow eye searching. How lovely he was to be so polite. The young male next to him was interesting as well. This must be Hollis.

"Welcome..." she said.

Narcissa smiled nervously at her family as the numbers grew, her eyes drifted over towards her daughter Pet, giving her a wary look. It wasn't long though before her attention was stolen by the arrival of her grandchildren and her daughter's mate. She crossed her front legs, lowering her head in a herla version of a curtsey.

"I think Bara said it well," she murmured softly, a smile creeping onto her face as she stood tall, head held high. "It's good to see you all," she said in a low whisper, giving a nod to Ki, not sure if she truly meant it just yet, things could still go horribly wrong like she feared. But still, she hoped for the best as she looked at them, eyelids lowered so her long eyelashes brushed against her cheeks, her curly tail swaying back and forth lazily.

"Hello Ki, Pet, Crowley," Calix snorted, giving his nephew a nudge, an eyebrow raised as he gave him a questioning look. He paused in his greetings to nose open his bag, lifting the flap to pull out a piece of bark stained with berry juices, lightly tossing it his nephew's way. His eye then scanned over the rest of the group, his niece was lovely, looking quite like his sister, and his other nephew, well he looked a bit too much like his father. Finally, his nose crinkled in distaste as he came across Pet's mate.

"Alaric," he practically spat the name out, filled with disgust. This was great, just great, he had thought this meeting would cheer him up, evidently he was wrong. Thoughts of anger entered his head, wondering why he was here at their family reunion, he certainly did not deserve to be called family. He looked away, turning to face Pet, had she brought him? His eyebrows furrowed as he looked at his sister, trying to discern the answer.

Perpetua remained as silent as she could as she watched her family slowly arrive. She was just so ecstatically happy that she couldn't contain herself when Alaric arrived with Hollis. Giving each of her children and nuzzle as she passed them, she moved as close to her mate as possible. Pet wanted to appear as if they were one flesh when she told her family the good news.

"It's such a pleasure to see you all today. I just wanted to let you all know that Alaric and I have mended our relationship. When I heard word that Mama wanted to have the family gather together, I thought there was no better time than now to let you all know." She smiled serenely before she could continue, ignoring Crowley's blank stare. "I know I haven't been the best mother to the two of you - Hollis, Crowley." Gazing at them in turn before focusing her attention to her sister and brother, "Or the best sister to the two of you." Finally turning to her parents she forced herself to meet the looks of her Mama and Mother, "And I especially haven't been the best daughter. But I want to work on making our family a happy one and I promise from today onwards, I will do everything in my power to make it happen."

Crowley smiled when he saw his uncle toss a piece of bark at his feet. "What's this a picture of Uncle Calix?" He was about to ninja off the blind cloth his uncle wore when his father and brother arrived. Listening to his mother's words left him flabbergasted, his mouth falling open in shock. And the nuzzle! What was that about?

Giving a nervous smile in Ki's direction, Alana shuffled around, sticking close to her mother. Her mother's family was all so pretty it almost made her slightly self-conscious. Even through all this commotion though Alana was never one to forget her manners.

Stepping forward slightly Alana gave a clumsy little curtsey, trying to imitate her grandmother but, not quite pulling it off. "I-It's very nice to meet you all...I-I'm Alana!" After finishing her little greeting Alana quickly returned to her momma's side, attempting to hide in her shadow and, instead turned her attention to the piece of bark her uncle had thrown at her brother's feet. "Oh that's pretty Uncle Calix!" She smiled before turning to her brother, giggling softly "It's you silly."

Alaric couldn't help but grin right back at Kiraki's bubbly manner. "Kiraki, it is so nice to see you after so long!" he glowed with fatherly pride and moved to her side as she fussed over his daughter. "Yes, this is Hollis! I requested that cape for h-"

"Father," Hollis cut in, forcing a smile, "Is this aunt Kiraki you were talking about?" Although she discussed her desire to be seen as a male with her father before, she didn't completely trust he would respect her wishes here. The less herla that knew the better, even if they were "family."

Alaric paused for a moment, smile faltering, but got the message. Less enthusiastically, he nodded and nudged Kiraki affectionately. "Perpetua and Kiraki were my best friends when I was younger..." At Barasuishou's voice, Alaric turned and dipped his head reverently, the feathers on his large horn swaying. This must be their other mother! His enthusiasm returned, though he couldn't help but feel self-conscious now. "I am glad to have the chance to finally meet you!" he had figured, hoped anyway, that Perpetua had told her mother about him, but it was common courtesy to introduce yourself anyway, right? "I am Alaric, and this is our... our child, Hollis."

Hollis paid no mind to the introduction, having turned away to frown at her uncle. In fact, she didn't even bother hide her glare. Why should she, if he didn't bother to disguise that tone? Still as unpleasant as ever, she almost said aloud, but held her tongue. Her mother's nuzzling tore her away from glaring daggers at her uncle, and she couldn't help but smirk at how sheepish her father seemed.

Just as Alaric was about to greet Narcissa, he was interrupted by Perpetua joining him and making an announcement. Oh dear. He straightened up at her side, smiling nervously. Although he did feel an immense swell of pride and love for his mate... Alaric also felt embarrassed, being put on the spot like this. Seeing as he was usually out on his own in the forests and whatnot, he was pretty damn unaccustomed to this sort of situation. The tension lessened a bit as Alaric found himself chuckling at Alana's introduction, and he felt more at ease about adding his own two cents. Alaric spoke, his voice uncharacteristically soft, but sincere.

"-And I promise to be on Perpetua's side every step of the way. I am humbled--and very grateful--that you would take me in, as I did not have much of a family growing up. Now I realize the importance of keeping one's family close... and I, too, hope this will be a happy one," he addressed Perpetua's parents now, both terrified and bold, hoping he wasn't overstepping but feeling liberated, "I hope you two will find me suitable mate for your daughter. It is unfortunate that we did not meet sooner, but I want to take this opportunity now to get to know you all, my family."

Studying her father with amusement, Hollis was surprised the ol' buck didn't faint, but she supposed the lack of blood helped. In the literal sense, that is, not so much "blood" as in kin, family and all, which was what this whole meeting was about-this was a dumb tangent. Hollis now turned her much-elusive attention over to her siblings making some deal over--oh. More of her uncle's dumb "art." Hollis snorted and looked away, deciding arguing semantics with herself would be more entertaining after all.
