Floatzel is a pretty fast pokemon, and with Aqua jet and Waterfall/Surf (depending on if you're going for a physical or special set), it should take care of most Infernapes. Just be careful, because Infernape can learn Thunderpunch. If you want to avoid weaknesses, I would suggest a Psychic type. Alakazam is probably the best choice. EV it in speed and special attack, give it Psychic, and let 'er rip.

Gamefreak41495 Kyrenx gamefreak41495 Kyrenx SlashFighter1988 X Dark Serge X you know there´s a lot of pokémons that would love to surprise an infernape which will be willing to stay and hit them?...
Tauros learns earthquake, your average monkey is very frail... and it will definetly try to stay and OHKO it with close combat... Get a Ninjask and teach it Aerial Ace with a Choice Band, it should knock it out or slice off a huge chunk of HP due to Infernape's flying weakness. Too bad Fake Out Infernape would heavily damper that idea of yours. Besides, it's fairly wasteful to use Ninjask as anything else except as a setup + passer.Quite true. And you know first-hand how effective that can be to an unprepared opponent. And I know first-hand how ineffective it can be on a prepared opponent. I don't remember exactly what your referring to, but I definitely have had my share of the tactic (both used by and against me) to know how something so little can cause so much damage to a team. I was referring to way back at the Nintendo Academy when you challenged my Bug Gym. My Ninjask Passed 3 Sword Dances and 4 Speed Boosts to my Scizor, who swept your team. Then we had a rematch and your Scarfed Moltres Flamethrowered my team to oblivion. Oh yeah, well.. to be fair, you only swept a third of my team before I forfieted the match. I knew I didn't have anything that could stop the infamous BP Scizor on my team, so getting swept and reveling everything else on my team was pointless. Besides, my forfiet still gave you the victory on the trainer cards. And my Sulfura sweeping you back was something I wanted to avoid doing from the get-go, but you left me little choice with that setup. pirate

But, if anything, it certainly saved time.
