I've waited far too long to quest for these so I guess I'm paying for it now D:

anyone have an general tips on how to earn more gold?

I've sniped a few good deals from the MP that brought me a little over a mill but is there anything else i can do?

what are some good semi-expensive items to hoard? any ideas?

Yeah I know those..buying low and selling high is too time investing D: like, immediate time not long term time.

booty grab gets too boring for me >w< and thats not really going to help a bunch on a 70 mill item quest. unless i do it hours a day every day which i cant

It's going to be a real b***h to do b/c of the rate they are inflating at. Learn to vend, exchange and hoard. You're going to have to put a LOT of effort into it to get them.

I can't tell you EXACTLY what to do because most of it is really stuff that you're going to have to learn on your own. Familiarize yourself with prices in the MP and sell off any items that you think you can live without to build up some more revenue.

If you're already snagging misprices and making your gold that way, then you'll be there in no time.

I can share my own experience on my main and tell you that I've gone through several OMGs; Angelic Sashes and DTs along the way, and I quested minis at one point in time as well.

When I found myself in a place where I could afford them last year...I passed. And I don't regret it for a second. It was a personal decision when I really thought about it and decided that I just didn't like minis that much after all. Same with DJs.

But for you, you want them badly, so I can only share what I did:

1. The avi on my main was and still is fairly simple. I dressed in only store clothing (there are some great items there,) and I left my avi simple. It's funny because those that know my main still chuckle at how simple I keep my avi. But that's crucial.

2. The simple avi keeps your gold free to buy whatever you want to invest in. Obvious, but not often practiced.

3. I really never hoarded. I've only been on Gaia since 2007, and I've managed just under 1 billion in sales on my main and mules, which resulted in roughly 135M in pure and items. I've never spent a cent in the cash shop, and I'm only online for what averages out to be less than an hour per day.

4. Watch the exchange. Even if it's a smaller item, there are some great deals to be had. And don't be afraid to make an offer for an item listed in someone's store. You'll be surprised at the bargains you might get.

I started out here on Gaia making gold by taking polls; posting in forums and even shaking trees in towns. Booty grab and zOMG didn't exist, but I still did okay at the end of it.

5. I rarely list the lowest in the MP. I'm not afraid to leave my items sitting there for a day or two. Or an hour or two. Especially when it comes to panic buying/selling (every Friday when EIs are announced; the 1st and 15th with the new MCs and whenever a new RIG is released). You can make a TON by riding this out and not always wanting to be the first listing. Patience really does pay off. I know it has for me.

I edited my other post to add one final thing that I've always practiced both here and on my main.

You brought up a great point that is very important when it comes to gifts: I've only ever accepted them on my main and then it's only from VERY close friends where we all exchange gifts at special times (birthdays; holidays; etc.) And I've never sold ONE of those gifts. Ever.

As for the hoarding, it has served many people VERY well, but as you mentioned, I just never saw the logistics either. I've just bought low (a few items here and there) and sold high.

You seem like an absolute doll, and again...I have no doubt you'll achieve that quest of yours. Probably sooner than you think.
