Jianyu was nodding slightly as the boy spoke, examining closely his facial expressions and the phrases he used. Each word was carefully thought out, each thought cautious and careful. Huang-Fu was obviously a person who did things with an amount of dignity and respect, and Jianyu admired that quality. But there were still things in life that needed to be resolved; things that even Jianyu could not tell. Hunag would have to discover those on his own.
"Good." Jianyu said softly. "Now just listen to what I say and keep your thoughts inside of your head while I speak.
"Thunderstorms are a force of nature. Violent. Passionate. Angry. Cleansing. They sweep across the lands, sometimes destroying what should be destroyed...sometimes leaving in its wake things that should have been left alone. They bring with them the winds, which make the trees restless. The rain, which cleanses the earth and smoothes the path for a new beginning. The sky, which darkens and creates a stirring of blackness.
"But then..." Jianyu added, and his voice grew quiet, soft, barely audible. "After the storm clears, the sky is blue. It is clean. There is the scent of freshness in the air, and there is a breath of life in everything around. Storms are our emotions, Huang-Fu. They can be brutal. Demanding. Controlling. But once they have been settled...everything begins to clear.
"And everything is new once more."

Huang pursued his lips together as he moved his thoughts back and listened to Jianyu. It was almost relaxing in the way that Huang could listen to the man's deep voice, in its own way it was soothing and powerful in its own right.
He didn't make a peep as the image of Jianyu's storm formed in his head. He could almost feel the wind slicing on his skin, the rain pelting his very bones and the thunder rock his very soul. It was a very sensational experience and he felt like he could smell the rain and the charge of electricity on the air.
And then the image formed a person, clouds rumbled into a human shape as he watched them change color, Red for angry or passion as it beat like heart. The cloud person he saw started to materialize into Huang himself so that he looked into a mirror. It was still a storm that he saw behind himself, but then he could see the breaks in the clouds of the storm, Like Jianyu said, He could see the storm as his emotions in his very being.
He studied his mirror self, focusing on the storm that was in him. It was battering to see how much rage he had still, though quieted for now, he could see his yearning for Jianyu, which seemed to beat warm and heavy in him, he could see his frustration mount, like rain that increased from steady to downpour.
"Then i must settle this emotions to have the new?" Huang opened his eyes to gaze at Jianyu, "I must come to acceptance with them to fully understand them, to find ways to settle their overwhelming power in me."

Jianyu nodded, folding his arms together as he kept up his scrutinizing of the young man sitting in front of him. There was that troubled expression on his face, like he was still uncertain of how to act, of what exactly he was to think. Jianyu knew that feeling well, knew the loss of hope and the confusion that clouded one's thoughts.
"Yes." he said, his gaze rising to glance at the dark clouds that curled above their heads before he turned it back to Huang. "Settle your emotions. Accept them. Understand them. Let them relax inside of you, not overtake you. Letting your emotions cloud your vision can only result in the loss of something, whether it is your heart, your mind, or something else. It is not a bad thing to have emotions, Huang. But we must learn to control them, not the other way around."

Huang sighed, large and deeply. It was confusing to understand, he could define his emotions now but controlling them was different. How was he suppose to control something that was so incrementally powerful in him?
He wasn't paying to the weather that started to form overhead, to the clouds that we're darkening and forming into the rain swelled puffs. The air was charging with ions of electricity.
But Huang was so deeply confused into looking into Jianyu's words, he felt like he was losing the meaning that his friend and tutor was trying to tell him.
"I am just not sure how to control them." Huang huffed a breath, his face was calm and thoughtful again.

A drop of rain hit Jianyu's face, sliding down his cheek, but he paid no mind to the weather. His thoughts were focused solely on the boy sitting in front of him. Huang-Fu had a troubled expression on his slender face, his words filled with frustration and confusion mixed with that same desire to learn, to grow, to discover things about himself that perhaps he had not known before. Jianyu had a strong wanting to help him and to guide him, but there were certain things that even he could not do. He had always been taught that one must figure out certain goals and desires by themselves, otherwise the purpose would be meaningless.
But he could not leave Huang alone. There was a certain sort of vulnerability that drew Jianyu in. Huang's obvious need for some sort of human contact was blatantly evident, and Jianyu saw no need to deprive him of that need. He would do his best to keep the boy strong and healthy, both in body and mind.
"It is all right if you are still unsure." Jianyu said as another drop of water hit his eye, causing him to blink rapidly for a few seconds. "That is what these training exercises are for. To keep your spirit alive, but to also control the tempest within you."

Huang looked up as the sky started its descent of rain, one drop at a time. One drop hit Jianyu's cheek rolling down against his skin, another hit Huang's arm causing goosebumps from the contact to arise. He would of shook from the chill that the drop seemed to cause in his body but his fever was still prominent and kept his body warm.
More water begin to drop turning into a steady flow of rain, it was nice and Huang never minded rain, and it wasn't cold enough to dissarry his thoughts or effect his body. He sat comfortable know with the yearn to learn.
"There is no way to be sure so early in this training." Huang huffed again, his face solemn, "All great things come with time...I just am impatient for it." Huang looks at the grass now with interest, "Now what?" Huang waited for his master to continue.

Water slid down Jianyu's face, pooling in his collarbone where his shirt was left undone. He raised his face to the sky for a moment, closing his eyes and letting the cool, clear raindrops soak his hair. He pulled his ponytail free, letting it fall about his shoulders and down his back, shaking his head briefly. Rain was always something that Jianyu had liked; the scent, the feeling in the air, the cleansing process...it all made him feel healthy. Alive.
He glanced back at Huang, giving him a small smile. "All good things have to happen eventually. Sometimes it just takes longer than normal. And we have to work for what we have."
The rain was falling more steadily now, chilling Jianyu to the bone. He stood up, reaching down to take ahold of Huang's arm, helping him to his feet.
"Now we go back inside." he said, and then smiled. "And we have some lunch."
