For those people, like me, love learning about, or are attracted to, Greek Mythology, then you HAVE to read the Percy Jackson series. I have read all 5 and finished it in 6 days. That is how much I loved them. They're AMAZING! It's about a 12 year-old boy named Percy Jackson, while on a field trip gets attacked by a Furie (Hade's servents). He finds out he's a Demi-God or Half-Blood (Half boy, half god) and is son of Poseidon. He then finds out his best friend is a satyr, half man-half goat. He's his guardian while he goes to Camp Half-Blood to train to battle and starts his adventures to stop Kronos with his friends Grover, Annabeth, and Tyson. At the end, he is highly respected from the gods, Poseidon's favorite son, and finds out his best friend, Annabeth, is his girlfriend.

YES!!!!!!!! Totally read these books they are awsome I finish one and pick up the next!! Im on the last book of the series but im sad because I dont want it to end sad . But if you like Harry Potter or Greek Mythology you will like these books. I cant put them down(except to get on gaia) thats why I havent been on Gaia for so long I have been reading them over and over and over again they are awsome. I just dont like the movie the best thought because Annabeth is supposed to have blond hair and gray eyes but she has brown hair and I dont know what color eyes. So...... defenitly read the Percy Jackson and the Olypians books.

lolz, yeah! I'm sad too, I really wish there were more than 5 books! And yeah, the movie kinda was a fail. They messed up Grover and they really messed up Annabeth. Her famous "Athena" look was never in the movie, with her blond hair and gray eyes. Then they forgot Ares (which is like the main bad guy), and . . . it just wasn't that good. But still, great effects and animations with the monsters, especially the Hydra. But the books are a MUST read!

The books are awesome! I've read all of them... twice. But the movie blows compared to the books though. Hey, have you heard of the other books the author wrote? He started another series, starting with The Red Pyramid. Obviously it is Egyptian mythology instead, but Bast is freakin awesome! Sorry, that was uncalled for, but I am a huge Bast fan. I also like Sekhmet, but she is a bit of a villain, against her will. And I get my falcon in a Egyptian mythology book. And that is all the spoilers I shall reveal. In the words of Hathor, Moo!

Yeah, I have! I was at rcatgurl's house today, and she let me read the first chapter of the Red Pyramid cuz we ordered it, and it's not in the mail yet. But rcatgurl says l'm like Carter; annoying, but fun and nice; dumb at times, but really smart . . . I don't know if it was a complement of not xD but the first chapter is really good so far.

Nah, Carter can be awesome, sometimes. Sadie can be stupid and impulsive sometimes. Oh, and I found a reference to Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Spoiler Alert When Bast refused to go into Manhattan. Something like "It is ruled by other Gods." She ending up having to, but she wasn't happy about it.

Yes. Bast is the awesomeness. But for some reason, I feel impartial to Sekhmet, even though she is a bad guy... She has always been my favorite Egyptian goddess. Bast is second, and Isis third. Then comes Horus. I think I only like Horus because his symbol is a falcon though.

I love Sekhmet.
In original Egyptian mythology, the three sisters, Sekhmet, Bast, and Hathor, were like the embodiment of war, even though only Sekhmet is the goddess of war.
Just a quick thingamabobber.
And originally, The only reason Set would fight Apophus/Apep (Same god) would be because they are both gods of chaos, and it is a power struggle between the two of them. A power struggle over the power of chaos.
