The book by conservationist Jeff Corwin introduces us to the One Hundred Heartbeat Club, a list of critically endangered species that have estimations of 100 or less individuals. However, this book goes into more detail of describing other endangered species as well as the success stories of animals that have been saved from extinction.
I loved reading this book. It is heartbreaking and yet there are glimmers of hope too. The success stories chronicled show that we have the power to prevent these animals from disappearing forever.
Has anyone else read it? Did you have a favorite animal mentioned? What touched you? What enraged you?
