The computer I normally use was hit by a virus. I'm using my sister's little laptop-wannabe right now, a "notebook" computer, and with my hands and fingers being as big as they are this isn't exactly the most comfortable tool for communication in forums. I'll still be logging on to communicate with close friends in PM's, but I won't be very active in the forums until I've finished fixing the other computer. The virus itself has already been removed, that is no longer a problem, but the damage it did is still there and I have to fix it. Until it's fixed it has no internet access. At this point it's really only good for writing books, poetry, etc, and playing Spider Solitaire.

Yes, and now I have the internet again! Luckily for me, a computer that hasn't been used in five years was laid out some time ago for me to play with. I wasn't very enthusiastic about it because it's an old computer and I was told that it had been filled with a number of viruses. Well, with the other computer down and me out of ideas I decided to take a look at it. To my surprise and relief, it was only filled with junk. This stuff passed as viruses a long time ago, but with modern anti-virus software the computer is clean and undamaged.
I had to do a lot of updating, defragmenting, and the hardware itself is still slow, but the important thing to me is that once again I can talk with my friends in the forums without the annoyance of a keyboard with buttons as small as my fingers are large. mrgreen
