ZzZZZzz...I actually did fall asleep during this episode. Yes, I'd been up since half four in the morning but I'm still sure that says something about the quality of the story. Possibly.
So far it's just a rehash of Rise of the Cybermen/The Sontaran Stratagem in that the evil classic monsters aren't really doing much except being vaguely nefarious in the background. And neither of those were great stories to begin with.
I'd bet the farm it's Rory who kills lizard girl. the other two have been pushed too hard as candidates for the job. Bet she taunts him about her people dissecting Amy or something.
If this *doesn't* happen then maybe, maybe there's hope for this two parter to get better next week. At the moment it's strictly filler quality.

Really interested for next week. I hate cliff-hangers.
Loved the little moments between the Doctor and Elliot. And the "don't diss the sonic" snap at Rory. I also really liked the Doctor's conversation with Alaya, especially when she used the "last of my species" excuse. You could see his age, reminded me of an old school teacher trying to be patient with a misbehaving student.
Totally creeped out by that whole dissection-while-conscious thing. Seemed like the plot to a horror film.

I don't think the cloffhanger made a lot of sense, which didn't help. Alaya had already openly boasted about how her species were ready for full-scale war against humanity. How the doctor imagined that translated into just five or six Silurians beneath the earth is anyone's guess. And yet he was still OMFGWTF when he finds the city down there.
And then I was like OMFGWTF at the lazy scriptwriters ._.

I really wans't looking forward to this episode. Just seemed boring, and it was for the most part, but there were some pretty good scenes. I would probably watch it again just to skip to those parts. All in all, just okay. But the "Next Time" thing looked very exiting and now I'm psyched for part 2.

By cliffhanger, I was referring more to what's going on with Amy and the other guy [Mo, i think]...As far as the proper cliffhanger, finding the city and all, I agree with you. He should have realized.

I rather liked the episode, to tell you the truth. I've seen that a lot of people are really unhappy with it.
