If it was diarrhea then it's not too big of a deal, but if it was a normal stool keep an eye on it...
Been having stomach problems lately? Also, how about your water intake?

A few things. If you were constipated or just taking a really tough poop and you were pushing really hard, you may have inflamed/bothered hemorrhoids. Also, in the case of pushing somewhat hard, you may have had a slight tear somewhere inside you that's bleeding.
Also, the diarrhea deal.
Eat bananas, yogurt, and high fiber things. Also, lots of water is a given.

It's all solid and bowels have been difficult for the last month or so. I've been drinking a ton of water... so, yeah, just a little concerned.

incorporate more insoluble fibers in your diet
Sources of insoluble fiber include:
* whole grain foods * wheat and corn bran * nuts and seeds * potato skins * flax seed * lignans * vegetables such as green beans, cauliflower, zucchini (courgette), celery, and nopal * some fruits including avocado, and bananas * the skins of some fruits, including tomatoes

If it was from internal bleeding, it would be tarry and black. Blood turns icky tarry black when it goes through the digestion process.
So it could be an internal hemmerhoid if there's no tearing or anything noticable on the outside. I had one recently. It wasn't painful but it was disturbing to say the least. I got it from a bout of really bad constipation and pushing too hard.
I got some suppositories and it cleared up in about a week.
Either way talk to your doctor to make sure.

It means God has given up on you.
But seriously, bleeding and s**t...besides periods, I love when people come to the LSG for this s**t instead of googling it to get DIRECT RESULTS.

I supposed I like getting information from folks I know, as opposed to a million of ideas that could possibly poison my body more actively. :B

marzipancakes But seriously, bleeding and s**t...besides periods, I love when people come to the LSG for this s**t instead of googling it to get DIRECT RESULTS. My first thought is always why don't people just go straight to the doctor or call up their GP or in some way seek medical advice. Especially when's it's insanely alarming like "I'm bleeding out of my eyeballs" or something like that. Not that this thread is, but I'm sure I've seen something like that here before. I just don't get it because asking here is only going to get you personal anecdotes/experiences which may not apply to yourself, and things people googled in an effort to seem like they possess medical knowledge. Seriously, seek professional opinion if you're that worried. If you're not worried, then don't tell everyone and make us all worry for you. D:

Yeah, I love the LSG and all...but asking for serious medical help is like asking some random person off the street. They may be right, but go to a damn doctor because there's really no other way to be sure.

When I was having stool issues, I also googled it and got some stuff off of webmd, wikipedia, other more or less legit sources - but I also got a bunch of blog sites with people's experiences, and to be honest, that helped more.
So nothing wrong with posting issues here, I think biggrin

Google is scary though. It's always like IT'S CANCER. YOU'RE GOING TO DIE when it's usually something harmless and mildly annoying.

Straight from my mother the nurse: "It's probably internal hemorrhoids. Or cancer."
(I asked her this same question a few days ago after I had a particularly bloody bowel movement.)
