Life was good. He had an almost-home. He had a new best-friend-forever. He had all the food he could dream of. And he still had his bandanna, even if Emma-lee no longer had her collar. He didn't like the idea of a scar on his throat, where everyone could see it, but what other choice did he have? Give up his bandanna? But it was so-so-soooo stylish! Remedy struck a pose as he pranced through the park, linking both hands together behind his head as he stared up through white-blond hair at the clouds. Big, fluffy, white clouds that looked like cotton candy. "Yummmm!" His stomach grumbled even though he'd just eaten back at the University. "Onwards! Tooooo fooooooood!"

The short haired stretched as he woke up from a nap. Those green eyes focused ahead of him; or attempted too, anyway. You see, Jude was always slow to wake up; he hated it. If he could, the gray feline would sleep his life away! It sounded good in theory, but then the logical side of his brain kicked him in the a** and rambled on about everything in the world that was wrong with his dream.
That was always when Jude scoffed and stood up; much like today. The bell chimed as he did and ran delicate looking hands through his naturally, short, spiky, peppered hair. "Food?" He asked himself. He'd heard a voice say it, and his tummy woke up.

Hearing a sudden cry of "food", Bermuda pricked her ears up, instantly attentive. When was the last time she'd eaten? A low growl emitted from her stomach, supplying her with all the answers she needed. Slinking out from the bush she'd spent the night under, she approached the strange cat.
"Hello!" Would he be nice? Or would he chase her off? She really hoped it would be the former, because her muscles seemed to be lacking strength from days of malnourishment. "I couldn't help but overhearing that you mentioned food." A hopeful gleam filled her eyes. She was hungry.

Remedy's keen ears pricked up as he heard another's voice -- and then another's! Wow, it was just his lucky day! With some luck, he might be able to snag a few new friends out of this! Spinning around, arms swinging, he turned to face the gray male. "Oyyyy there!" he called, waving like a lunatic (or perhaps a maniac) before prancing over to them. He glanced at the boy, and then the girl, his golden eyes afire. "You hungry then? Yepyep?" He rubbed his tummy, which let loose another yowl, and he tipped his head curiously to the side. They both had collars... The grayboy even had a jinglebell! Remie reached out and touched it, then giggled. "Hiya. I'm Remedy, but everyone just calls me Remie!"

Jude's ears picked up another voice, not like the one he'd heard before. Someone different? This would be interesting. The gray cat swallowed a bit and glanced at the boy and girl who came into his view. They were interesting looking! When his bell was touched, Jude grinned a bit and pawed at his own bell to tinkle it. He seemed to be more awake.
"I'm Jude Halt! Everyone calls me Jude, though. I think they think it's weird I have a last name.." He looked to the girl cat and waited, looking expectantly at her for a name. She was pretty, that was for sure.

"Hungry? You could say that." Bermuda replied as Remedy came and introduced himself, a purr rising in her throat. Any anxieties were forgotten within seconds, clearly these cats were friendly. As the multicolored tom tapped the bell, she jumped slightly, eyes brightening at the familiar sound. Her hand reached up instinctively to bat at the noise, but she disguised the reflex by running it through her hair.
"My name's Bermuda." She twitched her whiskers curiously as she heard Jude's name. Two names? She hadn't heard of a cat with two names before. Then again, she hadn't met very many. It hadn't been long since she'd been abandoned. "Apparently it's the name of a place, but I've never been there. Kinda weird being named after somewhere you've never been."

Remie grinned as the other two introduced themselves. He bounced along the sidewalk, hopping and fiddling with his bandanna. Jude Halt. Two names? "It is kinda weird," he admitted with a shrug. "Why would they give you a last name? That's kinda...Two-leg-ish?" Not that he cared. He pointed a finger at the ragdoll and laughed. "Bermuda. That's got a funny sound to it, too. We've all got funny names. Oh, Humans and thinking they're clever!" He did a little circle, stomach rumbling again and he paused. "So, Bermie and Jude... Where shall we go to eat on this glorious day?"

Things were happening so fast, so many cats talking at once. ....Ok, so it was two. Whatever. That was a lot for Jude! He flicked his tail as he was questioned about his last name and shrugged. "I know, but it just kind of stuck." When Rem laughed at Bermuda's name, he gently lowered the pointed finger and shook his head. "That's not nice! Don't make fun and point at others. Did you not get taught nothin'?" He was half grinning, half serious.
"We could... go find a few dogs to mess with. Like, the ones on chains and out run them until they end up choking? Or we could go find some food and then do that. Or dance... something." He looked to Bermuda and moved that direction, wriggling his hips in a tease. Sure, he was young, but that didn't mean he could flirt! It would be adorable, too. He just knew it.

Ignoring the pointing finger, Bermuda let out a purr of amusement. "Humans are really really weird." Even so, she felt grateful when Jude told the other cat off. Pointing fingers could make anyone uncomfortable.
But Bermie? That was a new nickname. It had an odd... ring to it. Perhaps she could get to like it. "I'll eat anything right about now. I'd even eat a choked dog." She teased, eyes glowing.
As the tom wriggled his hips towards her, she smiled slyly. Two could play at that game! "Dancing I can do!" She gave her own hips a little wriggle as though to prove her own point, before laughing slightly at how ridiculous she probably looked.
