So I start my summer job on Monday! I am excited but one week isn't really much of a break from school. Oh well, at least the dough will be coming in, and just in time too!
Why does college have to be so expensive?
Are you to have a job this summer?

Does an unpaid internship count as a job? Because that's what I have. Wish they'd pay me for it...College ain't free ya know!

...We are all granted wings... Good luck with your jobs everyone! 4laugh I'm actually on the search for a summer job, but I may just end up doing volunteer work with special ed. kids if I don't find anything. I just need a reason to get out of the house during the summer or I'll go crazy. 3nodding ...But we must wait for the opportunity to fly...

Hey, money is money. At this point, if I was guaranteed a few dollars every week I'd be thrilled! As it is I just gave school every last penny. I may have to go find a job that can give me a few hours each week. crying

Hey, money is money. At this point, if I was guaranteed a few dollars every week I'd be thrilled! As it is I just gave school every last penny. I may have to go find a job that can give me a few hours each week. crying That is true. I almost got caught in a pyramid scam sort of commission job today, thankfully I did research and declined the interview.

Good thing you got out of that one! Last year I was looking for nanny jobs and someone did the whole, "I'll send you a check, you take out what I'll owe you for the month, then send the rest to my travel agent." I decided that this was a bad idea and politely declined the job.

Just goes to show you that research and google is your best friend ;D

I have three summer jobs!
Two retail, and one office job.
At the beginning of the summer I also worked Front Desk at a hotel: but I quit really quickly because of illegal mistreatment. IE: they broke state laws every day. Then, a few days after i quit, they got robbed. karma karma! xD

I work twice a week at a family owned liquor store. Which means I get paid about a quarter a day...on good days. But on the upside I don't have to pay for my own lunch.
