Mikomi nodded. Without delay, she flowed into the explanation of the last skill for the first stage, "The final technique for the first stage is the Pincer Fang. Two arrows and the fundamentals learned in Arc Bolt are used to create a pincer-like formation as the name implies. The two arrows are controlled with chakra to arc wide in opposite directions. They then arc back to converge in on one point from two different sides." Description finished, Mikomi kept a careful eye on Miho to make sure she wasn't overdoing it too much.

Mikomi's attention was brought to Aqua by the fire she had accidentally ignited on the dummy. Previously, she had been staring cautiously at Setsuna's constant usage of a single jutsu. The Hyuuga didn't mind the flame all that much, understanding that such incidences were bound to happen while training katon. Instead, she was worried that the flame would spread. However, it soon became apparent that Aqua was capable of handling such a small issue on her own. "Yes, I can see that," was Mikomi's gentle response, "You've done well." The praise was for both Aqua's performance of the skill, which the burnt dummy attested to, and her extinguishing of the fire.

The Hyuuga continued smoothly from praise into further instructions, "I apologize, but that's all the E-rank fire ninjutsu I can teach you at the moment. If you don't mind, I can teach you E-rank fuuton, though. A good start would likely be the Kaze Bunshin. Otherwise known as Wind Clone. It takes into account techniques you've already practiced with the simple bunshin. The addition of wind into the simple bunshin gives it a physical form that can attack and be attacked. Although, while it is capable of physical actions, it isn't necessarily good at such things and is easily bested." For now, it didn't seem like Setsuna's usage of her fire jutsu was dangerous and the girl seemed to have terrific control over it, so Mikomi gracefully ignored it for the time being.

As always, a demonstration was given with the ninjutsu. The proper hand signs were formed by Mikomi's hands in a deliberate manner that allowed for easy reading. The chakra that had been molded with the signs was then released and used to create an exact replica of Mikomi besides her. The wind clone gracefully walked to where Aqua was and silently extended a hand. As the clone was unable to speak, Mikomi explained, "Please feel free to experiment with my clone a bit to see just what the limitations are."

Mikomi shook her head in response to Miho's question. "No," she replied gracefully, "unless you're a weapon specialist, that is all you'll be able to learn of the style." There was a short pause for breath. Then, a smile lit up Mikomi's face as she finished, "You've trained hard and well." She already knew that Miho had refused her previous offer of rest, so she wasn't going to push it again so soon. At least, not directly.

The Hyuuga princess sighed. She had told a small white lie in the hopes that the genin would finally go off to rest. Miho seriously looked as if she was about to topple over. The woman thought in concern for a moment before speaking once more, "Fine, then let's proceed to the second stage's Heaven Spear. An arrow is shot up into the sky. However, before it is launched, chakra is charged into it so that the arrow is delayed in the air before coming back down several minutes later. On its way down, it has a weak electrical charge and a drill-like spin that gathers wind behind it." Mikomi was heavily concerned for Miho and while she wouldn't force the genin to stop, she would try and convince her indirectly. Heaven Spear took the most stamina and chakra out of the three available techniques. Hopefully, after taking such a dramatic decrease, Miho would finally consent to rest.

Aqua's eyes underwent a change once more, catching Mikomi's interest just as it did last time. It seems she has a doujutsu, but I no of no doujutsu that switches between elements, the woman observed silently, attention split between Aqua and Miho.

When Aqua spoke to herself, the Hyuuga nodded quietly in encouragement. She continued to smile encouragingly as Aqua performed the jutsu and then scrutinized her handiwork. Mikomi had already seen enough to judge the jutsu a success in her opinion, she did not know Aqua's body well enough for up-close scrutinization to reap many rewards. However, in a case like this, the student's opinion mattered more than hers. "Are you satisfied?" the woman asked politely as Aqua finished her first circle of the clone.

If Aqua responded with a positive and seemed to want to move on to the next jutsu, Mikomi would move into yet another explanation. She introduced, "Then, I'll start you on the Yadama Furooseigyo, also known as the Projectile Control Skill. As it's name implies, the wind is used aid the speed and aim of a thrown weapon." After having spoken, Mikomi performed the needed hand signs and uttered the needed name as she gathered chakra. After the chakra was molded, she reached into her projectile pouch and tossed out a projectile at the nearby dummy targets in one fluid motion. The projectile moved at a noticeably faster speed than the average when thrown with someone of Mikomi's strength. Additionally, rather than landing with a solid thud into the dummy it was aimed initially at, it instead landed at a slight angle into the dummy right next to it. Admittedly, on the side of the target rather than the center as the wind could only change the path of a thrown projectile by so much.

If, however, Aqua answered in the negative or showed any other sign of not wanting to continue on to the next skill, Mikomi would patiently wait and listen.

"Not at all," the graceful Hyuuga encouraged, "All you need now is a bit more practice. The next fuuton ninjutsu, and the last one I can teach you for now, is the Hanpatsu Kaze no Jutsu, also known as the Retrieving Wind Technique. Like the Projectile Control Skill, Hanpatsu Kaze no Jutsu affects objects rather than doing anything directly on its own. A gust of wind is created to push the target towards instead of away from the user. The range of this skill leaves much to be desires, though. At lower ranks, the strength of the push is only enough to affect kunai and other small objects. Higher levels, however, can force even animals and humans."

As always, a demonstration followed explanation. Hand signs were formed slowly and the name of the jutsu was enunciated clearly, "Hanpatsu Kaze no Jutsu," as Mikomi prepared to use it. However, she did not use the technique after this show of what was required to prepare. Instead, the woman broke apart her hands and casually threw a shuriken to her left. The moment the shuriken left her hands, Mikomi brought the two appendages together once more and whizzed through the needed seals, only murmuring the name so as to reduce the time needed. To properly demonstrate, she needed to activate the jutsu before the shuriken flew too far away (the projectiles stuck in the dummies were too far away). Such a short time limit wouldn't have given her enough time to properly present the seals, which was why she had presented them before doing a live demonstration.

A gust of wind started up to the left of and some distance away from the chuunin, blowing everything in its way to the right where Mikomi stood. The shuriken, not having been thrown all that forcefully in the first place, easily succumbed and blew right back to its owner--along with any loose dirt, leaves, etc.--who caught it with her usual grace. Just in case her small demonstration had give Aqua a mistaken idea, the Hyuuga explained, "Before you make the mistake of trying, it is unlikely that a shuriken thrown normally by the user of the jutsu will be affected once the jutsu is activated. It is likely to have either moved out of the jutsu's range or, in the case when it hasn't at the start of the jutsu, its speed and shape will be able to fight through enough of the gust to move out of the jutsu's area of effect before it is turned."

The genin of this generation are quite interesting, Mikomi noted as she watched over Aqua's training. For one, here was Aqua with her proficiency of many more elements than the typical genin. There was also Miho, who pushed herself absurdly hard and still maintained enough focus to practice bukijutsu techniques without only a description. Lastly, there was the enigma of Setsuna. The last time Mikomi had met her, the girl had worked diligently at jutsus. Now, though, she simply lazed around and did the strangest things.

Mikomi bowed in response to the praise. Modestly, she replied to the best of her knowledge, "I am honored to have a student as diligent as you. Now, for suiton and raiton jutsus. Well, I don't know about suiton, but I believe Kaede is knowledgeable in raiton. I think she also knows some fuuton that I do not. However, I'm not sure where to find her. She is a small girl with red hair and white eyes who often carries a rabbit plushie around."
