A new game by Ubisoft set for release late this year. It's apparently the next game in the series and continues the story of Ezio as the main character, this time in Rome. However there will be a multiplayer section where you team up with the Templars to kill the assassins.

no the game will be an actual hard copy...the multiplayer bit will onlybe online but I don't think the game is download only. I've seen the cover on game websites.

not what i meant by online only. i mean i was told that you can only play it online.

oh right. I think it's also got single player but I'm not sure. Although this has not been stated I don't think it can really be classed as the next full, proper game in the series...it seems like a side game to me. Ubisoft haven't admitted that but..it seems that way.
