We're all god. We're all masters of our own destinies. Any outer being, or beings, are merely the personification of what already exists inside every living thing. God is human interaction, and understanding, but there is no single entity. We are all part of a larger whole, but we are also free thinking creatures in ourselves. We face the paradox of both being part of god, and praying to god. Just as one depends on different parts of their body to continue to function, man depends on some unseen force he has chosen to name god. When you pray to god, you pray to yourself, and to everyone else. Change is accomplished through human action. Improvement is accomplished through human action. We can depend on no one but ourselves, and our fellow man, and with society the way it is today, it is very difficult to trust the people around you. So the only solution is to depend on oneself, and take responsibility for your own actions, because no one else will. There are few people willing to take the fall. Everyone wants things to change, want god to do something for them, but they don't realize that they are god. That the person they gave a dirty look on the bus is god. That their children are god. That their employees are god. That every man, woman and child on this Earth is god. All things exist, and cooperate, and need balance to function properly, and the rules of equivalency, and cause and effect. With anything off balance, harmony will be lost, and I won't be the only depressed one out there. In fact, I'm not. You tell me to find god. I've found god, and god is sick, and ill, and on the brink of extinction. God is mankind, and doesn't care, because it has its own problems.

You are so right, I agree with you! My friend was reading the bible and all I heard was god punished this guy..god made this guy kill this guy.... I've never truly read a story where god does something wonderful and help us, like in Noah's ark, he planned to kill the human race supposedly. I'm a polytheist strangely enough and my religious friend don't care, they don't shun me for not believing in only their god. I'm not an atheist and if 'god' is so great why did the holocaust happen? Like in the state I live in, California, we had prop 8 which was against gay marriage. I had a cousin who strongly believed in prop 8 and when he told us and then we told him that we didn't like prop 8 he got all religious on us. (by us I mean by my siblings and me) He told us that god was against gays. So my sister said, "Then why did god create gays?", he was speechless. You just earned my respect by saying what you said, and I am agreeing with you entirely.
