hey hey guys i'm back after leaving gaia abruptly for awhile, because i just got bored, and also i think i've been having really bad depression issues, and thats been taking alot of my energy. its been so bad its even affected my studies spiritually. part of the problem is my mom, the other day i received a check that i wasn't expecting til next week and desperately needed and when i yelled out in joy "Oh sweet goddess thank-you" later that night my mom cornered me in the kitchen and said if she ever heard me say that again she would "slap the s**t outa me". and she says s**t like this to me all the time and it really just brings me down so hard that i cant be open about my spirituality....

I don't think she ever will, hun. She's too deep into her own to see not everyone believes as she does. It's a shame that she can't open up a bit, even for you. But you can't hold it against her. You just have to remember: For as close-minded she is, she raised an open-minded son to take and give to the world as he saw fit. Not as she saw fit.

Aww.... I hate harrassment. I'd normally say ignore foul behavior.... however, I know it is harder than it seems. I wish you the best of luck and hope that one day, your mom will see what we, here in the group, see: co-existing.

many a night i've spent going through lists of nasty hxes in my head... never would go through with them, but hey its a way to vent internally i guess.
