He'd watched with some amusement as Ianath tried bulling her way through the crowd of hatchling dragons and their riders; when Inaari seemed to have hers under some sort of control, he greeted her warmly though both of the newly Impressed rider's attention was on the Weryleaders, not each other (once they'd introduced themselves, etc...then perhaps. But first things first.

Therionmine, introduce us!

Eirlyn and H'trel seemed to be "dividing" and "conquering" to get through the small throng, so he made his way first to H'trel. It was this man that he would be answering to mostly -- of course Eirlyn was absolutely important and he would give his respects to her as well...but she seemed interested in Inaari more than some Silver-rider...

So instead he brought himself up sharply before H'trel, Cavenath strutting at his side with too-large wings held tightly to his sides. "T'ron of Silver Cavenath. We look forward to proving ourselves part of the Weyr's strong tradition of excellent riders." Cav lifted his silvery head and peered up at H'trel as though calculating the ways that he could 'improve' himself; an unspoken admonishment to behave kept the dragon from doing more than looking, however.

"I also wanted to thank you and Werywoman Eirlyn for allowing me to stand and find mine. If I had been at another wery, I may not have been so fortunate." This was, of course, referring to the fact that not all the Weyrs allowed for the assisted hatching of Atypical Dragons. Horrifying thought, that.

Inaari, who had been struggling mentally to keep a firm grip on Ianath's incredible eagerness and need to have her metaphorical spoon in every pot, jumped lightly when the Weyrwoman spoke to her. The freckled girl flushed with momentary embarrassment before beaming and letting Ianath shuffle up to Eirlyn for inspection and appreciation. Speak mine! You must talk a lot now, for us both! It was encouraging, but only caused the girl to sigh a bit despondently. It was true, all babies were the same!

But it was full of love, and a hand rubbed the dragon's eye ridges as Inaari looked back towards Therion and Lothan, pointing them out with a proud smile. "Therion and Lothan, they Impressed the silver and brown, respectively. It'll be nice, to have someone to talk to." Realizing that this was probably not the best thing in the world to say, she hurriedly added on an addendum. "But I won't insulate myself! I mean, I've never been good at it. I like to talk to people!" Fingers brushed along the sleeves of her dress and tugged at them nervously as both the Weyrowman and Ianath watched.

"Is it always so...so different? You walk into a room and people look at you first, because you have the queen with you." The dragonet's eyes whirled and she made a pleased sound in her throat. Of course she enjoyed the attention! "Please don't think I'm ungrateful! I'm so thankful to be here at the Weyr, and with or without a dragon I don't think I would have ever left! I don't really belong in the Holds, I think I'm a bit too interested in what's outside four walls!" Her smile was wide and pleased when she finished this, still rubbing Ianath's head and making the dragonet close her eyes with pleasure. No, she belonged here!

A'urel looked down at the green that had plopped right in front of him and Pumuth and seemed utterly confused for a moment. He couldn't figure out why she would just plop right down in front of them looking so determined and for a moment he was at a loss for words.

However, Pumuth's neck lifted a bit more and he gave her a dragon smile that was mixed with a yawn, I was sleeping. I'm sorry. I must have missed the conversation. I'm Pumuth, a blue and my rider is A'urel. You're a green? Right? So that means you're a girl. I think. Then he glanced up at A'urel and confirmed that thought even though a bit befuddled. Yes, a female. It's nice to meet you.

After he spoke with Zabreth, Pumuth relayed to A'urel that the greens rider had been trying to speak with him. A'urel glanced around because he had completely missed it if someone had been talking to him. Who's her rider, Pumuth? he asked his eyes wandered for a moment. He wasn't going to get out of line but he was also wondering what he had missed.

"Well exactly," Moriath agreed with a snort and a shake of her head, "silly things... I would like to talk to the two of you for longer," the crimson went on, glancing about at the other hatchlings, "but I really must greet the rest of our clutchmates before I tire out. Still, we'll have plenty of time in the coming days; I hope you both enjoy the rest of the feast."

As her lifemate rumbled a farewell to the pair of greens, Kleos smiled at their riders and gave a brief bow. "Moriath would like to speak with the others," she explained, "I'll see both of you later on; enjoy the feast!" Moriath did have a good point, it wouldn't be long before the weak atypical needed to sleep; best they hurry.

"Indeed. My sisters first, preference to the ones who chose female riders, then my fellow atypicals, the normal males last." If she was going to run out of energy before she'd got around everyone, she wanted to at least be sure that she spoke briefly with everyone important.

Of course I am a girl! Zabreth replied with her jaw dropped in a grin. She was quite pleased that she had managed to get the blue and his rider to stop. And so is my rider. She is standing with the others! Ralae wave you hand!

Ralae tried her best to keep up with the others. She had noticed that Wykla had slipped into the feast and why not? Everyone should be celebrating the new lives of the dragons. Forget the riders, any one could Impress. Sliding away from Rhilira just as Kleos announced she was leaving, Ralae gave a weak wave and tried to make her way over to her closest friend.

Cheer had woken and showed up by this time. The little gold popped from between and landed on Ralae's shoulder quite pleased with herself. Turning and looking at Zabreth who was still looking at Pumuth like a canine looked at a hoppy bug, the gold chirped a question.

"She is ours now, Cheer. This is Zabreth. Zabreth make sure you play nice with Cheer... She can help with with itches and all sorts of things." Ralae called out. Just then, Zabreth told her to wave. Again confused, Ralae waved at her dragon.

Wykla looks around the cavern. Too many large heads in the way! She grumbles to herself. Suddenly out of the corner of her eye a glint of gold draws her attention. Yes it looked like Cheer. She makes a bee-line in that direction and soon sees her friend.

Standing on tip toes she waves frantically to be seen. "Ral! Hey Ralae! Over here!" Wiggling as fast as she can in the press of bodies it takes her a minute to get closer.

She gets there just in time to hear Cheer cheep and she giggles. "What does Cheer think of her?" With a big grin she looks Ralae up and down. "Good job Impressing a green! I'm so happy for you!"

She is a girl, Pumuth thought back to his rider with a rather happy grin of his own. But the words perplexed A'urel because he wasn't sure whether or not Pumuth meant the dragon or the rider. It was rather obvious that the dragon was a girl but then again...Pumuth had just asked him. Maybe he was just a little slow after sleeping.

Look up to the left, A'urel. said Pumuth to A'urel. And in his confusion A'urel did look to see a girl wave at them. She seemed busy though and A'urel responded with a wave back.

That's Zabreth's rider.... ummm.. what's your rider's name?? he asked Zabreth as his tail stretched out just a little bit to thump on the floor.

A'urel scratched his head as he watched the two dragons. Obviously, he and Pumuth would have to work on communication.
