The sheep-goat effect is really interesting. It's the tendency of the experimenter to get the result they expect. It's prominent in parapsychology but I have a feeling it applies to any field with a human element.

I don't believe in global Warming AT ALL. I believe that the warming and cooling of the Earth has been happening for thousands of years and people think that just because they haven't personally experienced it that it's the going to kill the entire planet. And anyway, it's impossible to live on this planet and not screw something up. If you build a house you're gonna knock down a few trees but that doesn't make you a terrible person or mean that we need to stop building houses to save the trees. Even when there was no technology the cavemen built fires that caused pollution. It's inevitable. Also, the government has been milking this theory to make money. They terrify people making them think that we're going to destroy the world by LIVING ON IT. Al Gore created a way to make people pay to emit carbon.

If you guys are still debating it, then you haven't heard about NASA. They've done studies that prove that heat is venting from our atmosphere just fine, contrary to what Al Gore said. There are cyclic climate changes, but no global warming.
