I'm sorry, but non of my friends or people I know are interested in Gaia. I showed my bf and he was like sorry not my cup of tea. So I guess I am out of the loop hole. Not everyone on Gaia is a social butterfly outside of gaia that can invite 30 some what friends to join this site. I do agree its a good way to get more people, but it still leaves others out in the cold.
I can't only imagine what this site be like with bunch of teens roaming around and making it more of a hell zone as it is already in the forums...

Most of my friends aren't into this type of site. And I'm not into theirs.
