I used to be super into anime and manga, but then I took a little break. Now, I'm semi-back into it. Here's a list of the ones I read/watched:
Juvenile Orion
Alice 19th
Ayashi no Ceres

Hana Kimi mrgreen (The J-Drama of it is also fantastic)

Plus, I've watched/read Tokyo Mew Mew and Sailor Moon. Actually, speaking of Sailor Moon, my friend is going to Anime Central this weekend as Usagi, and her sister as Sailor Venus. They have a few others in the group, and I'm going with them too, but I'm going as Princess Mononoke, and another friend of mine will be Ashitaka! I'm super excited because it's my first anime con!
Speaking of which. What are everyone's favorite Studio Ghibli movies? I'm assuming everyone's seen at least one... My favorites are Grave of the Fireflies, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, and Mononoke Hime. Ooh! And Totoro! I love Totoro!!

I love anime. My favorites are
Inuyasha (my first obsession)
Fullmetal Alchemist ( heart )
Rozen Maiden
Azumanga Daioh
and then a couple of the anime you listed up there.
Rrgh! it is hard to pick a favorite Studio Ghibli film!! It is a tie between Totoro, Castle in the sky, Nausicaa, and Spirited Away...and Ponyo...and Porko Roso...And the Cat Returns...And kiki's delivery sevice...and Princess Mononoke (you should realize by now that I am horribly indecisive.)

Anyway, I think Lucky Star and Higurashi would be good, they are two of my favorites.
Another anime, that I've found is less common but totally amazing is Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge/The Wallflower and Bokura ga Ita/We Were There.

I rather enjoy Pokemon, Digimon, Tenchi Muyo, Cardcaptors and Gundam Wing.
*Rubs nose in thought* I'm also a bit of a gaming geek.
Could you see a subforum for them in future or is it unlikely?
