According to Titanstower.com, yes Teen Titans' cancelled. They've even got a petition going on to bring season 6 back and all.

How many seasons of Batman Beyond were there though? I don't believe that show was a particularly huge success... it was an interesting experiment, if a sadly doomed one; and it was totally cool that it was linked with JLU as the future version of WB's Animated DC Universe (of which noone's too sure whether Teen Titans is part of or not).

Kim Possible is totally awesome by the way.

Totally seconding that here... then again it's hard to go wrong when you have Stephen Silver on the character designs.

Looks like Futurama is getting the Necromantic Ritual as well if Variety is right.

If what you say is true, this may well be the greatest year in the HISTORY of YEARS.

No they'll RUIN IT and have it turned into a franchised monstrosity. Like they did with the Simpsons.

Why don't they let it die in beauty, like the Beatles did?

For every CBS Saturday Supercade, It's Punky Brewster, Kissyfur and Rubik the Amazing Cube, there was one Mighty Orbots.

I think the future generations need to still be able to at least have the CHOICE to weed out the good from the bad. Instead, they get NOTHING at ALL. ZIXX my a**.

Geeze, the last time I made the mistake of trying CBS for Saturday Morning cartoons, I was confronted by Lazy Town (which made me want to vomit), Dora The Explorer (again, the gag reflex kicked in) and Little Bill (Cosby, that is. Sickening).

People who are limited to this 'assortment' (for lack of a more accurate description) won't want to remember such a childhood. There won't be any Schoolhouse Rock or other catchy hook to pull the children of today along, unless their parents buy the DVD collection at WalMart or off the internet.

Meh indeed.

Well, here's the thing:

The Simpsons gradually lost themselves in modern-day stupidity with all those guest stars doing ridiculous parts and boring scripts.

The thing about Futurama is that many episodes followed a storyline or had direct connection with others, and this allowed for a much richer storytelling.

Not to mention it's set on a reaaaaaally crazy future that mocks everything we know and hold dear.

So, 1 more season would be nice.

With the idea in mind that DVD sales save series, Titans' phoenix-like return to the screen might be possible in the first damned week the series hits the shelves. Its popularity is huge.

Let's not forget that Futurama is the only North American animated sitcom-thing with character development. Especially in the case of Kif.

More Futurama would rule because it would mean more Zoidberg and I'd jump all over that like a kid thinking his dad's stomach is a trampoline.

Teen Titans has already been out on DVD though. It's up to the first half of season two. Though I have no idea when the second half is coming out. Also, they are apparently re-releasing the first season as one set fairly soon (it was two discs before). There is a made for video movie coming out at some point though (they go to Japan WAI WAI STARFIRE DESU). Really though, why make more, when they can just sell DVDs of the existing ones and play them in reruns? We can't really count on EVERYTHING getting the Family Guy treatment.

Well, if Animaniacs DVDs were made, I'd buy them all.

BUT ALAS WB ANIMATION HAS GIVEN US ANIMANIACS FANS A PUNT IN THE a**s.

And what about Freakazoid? Or Pinky and the Brain?

Or Batman/Superman/Justice League/JLU DVDs with full extras and commentaries?

There are people out there with good money to burn on these if they actually existed

"You Mean Don't Say Candlejack?" xp

Hmmm, I'm a non-cable person myself so I get most of my cartoons from the WB on Saturdays . . . which means I'll watch Xiaolin Showdown and . . . thats about it right now.

I think after that there is Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island which basically follows the "annoying equals funny" formula. That usually results in me not watching.

Then there is Johny Test which looks like part "mixed up Dexter's Lab omage" and part "goofy kid and his talking dog use guns and techno gadgets type show". xp It isn't any good in my opinion, but it can be mildly entertaining if you can manage to switch your brain off. Why bother though, unless you happen to be watching TV while you're at work like I am half the time.

Let's see there is The Batman. I can dig it, just not as much as Batman the Animated Series. I hardly ever get to watch it in it's early time slot or I see the last five minutes.

Loonatics . . . bleh.

Pokemon Advance . . . only the first season of Pokemon was ever worth watching, just because it had the right mix of hokeyness and pluck. Who could forget a gang of criminal Squirtles or Ash getting his a** beat and his hat stolen by a Mankey? All of the following Pokemon series are just crap.

Yu-Gi-Oh, crap. Perhaps you can derive some humour from the sheer absurdity of this series . . . if you're desperate.

Maybe some day I'll get cable again, but I don't really miss it.

All of Batman the Animated Series is out on DVD in the States already (including the newer episodes with the redesign). Two volumes of Superman are out so far. There are a couple of JLU DVDs out as well. They'll probably do JL/JLU box sets at some point, but it'll probably be a few years still.

A Freakazoid DVD set would make me a happy Yuji indeed.
