Problems with your ears eh?
That sucks, whats wrong?
I don't seem to ever have problems with mine, and I've been to hundreds of loud concerts, clubs, etc.

My ears produce too much cerumen, it seems. The doc told me it's normal at some % of the population. The rest have no such problems.
It's not a big deal - no need to take any medicines, it's not painful. It's just that in Poland I need to visit two docs to get it dealt with. First the family doc who must refer me to the laryngologist.
That is if I want it covered by the insurance.

Digital Malevolence I don't seem to ever have problems with mine, and I've been to hundreds of loud concerts, clubs, etc. My ears are all messed up due to that. I've been going to shows consistently from freshmen year of high school on. My hearing is shot.

Apparently my ear ducts were formed difefrently than other people so where as most people's go down, mine go up (or vise versa). It creates probelms....like my ears get clogged to where I can't hear and I have to get my ears flushed....probably about once a year.

I've always been very protective of my hearing, which, coupled with my general disdain for people, means it's a very rare occurrence for me to attend live shows.

I'm not a fan of people myself, but I certainly don't let that effect me going to shows.

Herr Kaiser Matthelm Digital Malevolence I don't seem to ever have problems with mine, and I've been to hundreds of loud concerts, clubs, etc. My ears are all messed up due to that. I've been going to shows consistently from freshmen year of high school on. My hearing is shot. Thats about when I started aswell, perhaps a year or two earlier. And for a while, and recently I've been going to shows twice a month. @Kas: Ah. Well that kind of sucks.

Stay strong, Kas! At least you said it isn't painful. I think that's the most important part. =)
The only time I protect my ears with ear plugs is when I want to sleep but my alcoholic neighbours are partying. Maybe the shows here just aren't as loud as ie in America. I've been to 5 Tuska festivals and a few gigs and I've always been near the front where all the err... loudspeakers are and nothing's wrong with my hearing.

Hollow: welcome to the club... this is exactly what I get once in a while. This time too. It's genetic, it seems. My mom has the same.
However... however it seems this sea water agent is not that bad. It certainly wasn't as quick as a doc, but it helped the ear to clean itself and I hear well again. Yay!
Mana: yeah, it's just annoying. Hearing noise instead of music in one of your ear is annoying. Not mentioning that it doesn't help to listen to what people around you are saying.

I can imagine how annoying that is. D:
And you put sea water in your ear? o.O Maybe it's those salty minerals that cleaned your ear out. =P

Yeah, there is this liquid you can buy in pharmacies here, which is said to be sea water. And it's probably exactly those minerals which make it all possible. This and the warmth make it possible.

I havent gotten my ears flushed in about 2 years, I'm sure I need to go in and get it done soon.
The over-the-counter crap doesn't work on me too well. I get really big clogs.

It rarely does. It hasn't worked the last time around (2 years ago exactly). But it helped this time. Which is good. Waiting in those lines at the docs'....
