I usually just deal with problems myself on any way I can, but I noticed people here give rather good advices so I thought I’d try it out too... XD
Anyways... I am gonna bore the hell out of you now with my problems and some other stuff... First of all I need to tell you that I am overall a bubbly person and while I do have my 'depressed' days, when I think of the beauty this life is offering me (when I gaze at the sky, and smell the flowers, look for shapes in clouds, feel the breeze, etc... xD) I just can't stay in a bad mood. However... there is one thing that is gonna be the end of me someday for sure... I am LAZY as hell... It's not cause I don't really wanna work or anything it's just that... whatever I do I lose interest in it soon or don't even have a motivation for it... I'm a college student, only a first year (I had to pause for two years cause of some 'stuff') and college is something I always wanted to go to... problem is, now that I DO go to college... it just doesn't feel 'right'... I have no motivation what so ever to do anything involving my college... I don't study(I always find a reason why not too), going to classes feels troublesome and for some reason it feels as if this is not what I want which makes no sense cause I’ve been waiting to go to college for a looong time... but this isn’t only a problem with college… I have no motivation in doing anything especially if it takes longer to do… I’ll do it but I’ll feel no satisfaction in doing it at all… Everything just feels too troublesome… D:
I tried to think of what is causing me to be like that so that I can put a stop to it. I even went to the psychiatrist but it felt as if she didn’t understand what I’m saying at all and I wasn’t getting any closer to the solution… :/
So my question is do you have any good advices on how to motivate myself and stop being like this?
I am really sorry for this LONG post and for bugging you with my rather stupid problem I should be able to solve by myself, but I’d really appreciate any thoughts of it…
Thank you very much! biggrin AAR

I get bored easily too. I usually just leave when I get bored and try to come back to it later, cause I might have interest again.

To me it sounds a bit like ADD. Perhaps you could ask your doctor about your situation. 3nodding

i also thought of ADD. but also of simple Procrastination, or even just depression.
my own depression started with the feeling of pointlessness and dissinterest in doing anything. it was impossible to explain to anyone, so i just kept looking for a reason to do anything, which only kept filling me with more dread because even new things i discovered didn't interest me.
realy i don't have any answers for you yet, nor advice. but perhaps if i had more information.
what is your major? have you goals? what about plans for the future? do you know what you wanna do? perhaps this is just intuition telling you to think of THAT before you waste time and money getting blindly schooled. xd

Well... the ADD stuff... i was to ask my doctor of that but my health kinda got really bad so i didn't come to that part... ^_^; I have bunch of medical tests to go on to right now so i guess that is the question that is going to wait for a while before i get to the bottom of my health problem which is affecting my everyday life more than the mentioned problem... ^_^;
But to answer the questions... 1. I am a student of Mechatronics... biggrin 2. Goals... i wish i had any particular ones besides being happy... But to be honest... i just don't seem to see myself anywhere... :/ Whatever i think of seems just too troublesome and boring to even think about... ^_^; 3. I have absolutely no plans for the future... I guess finishing school and finding a good job I'll have fun doing... 4. I have absolutely no idea besides the fact i wanna do something that will make me happy and won't make me bored and disinterested fast...
Hahahah... now that's a bright future waiting for me right there... XD

 I have a problem with procrastination and lack of motivation also. I think my personal problem stems from a fear of trying and failing; I think that the subconscious reasoning is that if I don't try, I can't fail. This causes me to conjure up all manner of excuses - "I'll do it later," "I'm just too tired right now," "I'm too stressed to think straight," etc.
The only way I've found that works for me is to force myself to get started. As soon as I've begun I almost always find that the motivation returns, at least temporarily. At that point, I just try to remember to force myself to do whatever task needs doing, more often. Keeping myself in the habit of staying on top of things helps me keep up my motivation for longer periods of time.
"Do not fixate on the past or future. Live wisely and earnestly in the present."

Maybe you just haven't found anything yet that you're really interested in and passionate about.
My suggestion is to try a lot of things. Don't bother with an applied course of study, go to a community college, and take a variety of things, anything that sounds remotely interesting. Or perhaps travel if you can. It used to be a standard that young people would travel for a year before starting higher education. If you can't actually travel, do a lot of online traveling. Surf around, check out lots of things. Find your passion in life!
