Type of body (build): Despite possessing toned, athletic muscle, her lean willowy build is also well-endowed, making her overall appearance a proportionately curvacious one.
Distinguishing marks: A beauty mark is located on the lower outer corner of her left eye. Suzuran possesses four long scars that run from her left collarbone to her right hip, which she got protecting her mother from a Hollow. She has tattoos on her shoulders: a 6 on her right and a 9 on her left.
Predominant feature: Her aforementioned tats.

Overview: Temperamental, pugnacious, and spunky, Suzuran is exactly what you would expect in a loud-and-proud Amazon-queen. She is quick to anger and quicker to fight, living in a for-the-moment life with little thought of consequences. Her manner is brutally honest at best; if she doesn't like you, you're the first one to know about it (usually because she socks you in the face even as she openly declares her feelings). There's no sugar coating on this firebrand, getting right to the point like a fired arrow. Though she does follow orders on the most part, being the queen of "mouth faster than brain" syndrome, one can always be counted on to be the first to voice her objections if it goes against her honour code.
Suzuran is a strongly independent person, and also one who could be considered proud, for she refuses help in any situation. One can basically forget arguing with Suzuran and cut straight to attempting to beat their opinion into her; she is mulishly stubborn, and will stick to whatever she believes. This can be a double-edged sword, for though her beliefs may not exactly coincide with those of others (heck, sometimes they downright go head-to-head), this same obstinacy keeps her from backing down on anyone she cares for, and makes her fiercely (albeit often recklessly) loyal, a woman who would endanger her very life to protect and support those she calls her loved ones.
Habits: Over-training, twirling/pulling her extra-long lock of bangs when in conversation, yelling profanities, waltzing off to drinking parties, picking fights.
Greatest Strength: Suzuran is a woman of her word, doing everything in her power (and beyond) to see that she keeps true to promises she makes.
Greatest Weakness: While she's an incredible fighter in terms of strength, her defensive tactics, in the most basic of terms, sucks.
Soft spot: Sweets, cute fuzzy things, and her father.
Is their soft spot obvious, why/why not: It's obvious to said cute fuzzy things. Her sweet tooth isn't, unless someone catches her in the middle of a snacking binge. Since no one's seen her around Shuuhei, it's safe to assume that that one's not at all obvious, though with her near-obsessive tendencies to prove herself . . .
If not, how do they hide it: Does her damn best to ignore/avoid anything cute and fuzzy when with others, and uses her father's reputation as one of her motives to continue to improve.
Biggest Vulnerability: Her Berserk Button. It's ridiculously easy to push. And when said she goes on a roaring rampage of . . . well, just about anything, she'll attack just about anyone. Which means a lot of times her allies end up getting the short end of the stick.
Background: Born in the 10th district of Rukongai, Suzuran's life with her mother was pretty decent. Her mother worked as a seamstress, and worked in a textiles shop that offered tailoring services. As a child, Suzuran never really put much thought to the Shinigami who sometimes roamed her district, and busied herself with keeping the tiny house she shared with her mother in order, and helping her mother with her job. In her world, she saw herself as her mother's guardian, being young and strong. Her chores were her training regimes, and in her free time she would practice would practice with a wooden sword she had carved from a stick. At first she was laughed at for being an idealist and a Shinigami-wannabe, but eventually adults and children alike learned to keep their comments to themselves once she had beaten a handful of them.
That changed when a handful of Hollows slipped into their section of the Rukongai and attacked the market district, her mother's workplace among them. Suzuran had been bringing back lunch, and so when she saw the Hollows, her first instinct was to protect her mother. She took up the first weapon-like object she could find; in this case, a broom whose handle had been shortened so she could use it. Of course, at her age, she was hardly a match for the creatures, and had her chest ripped open for her efforts (she did manage to slay the one that maimed her mother's leg, if it redeems her pride at all). Her saviour came in the form of a rough-looking Shinigami man with wild hair, and as an impressionable young child half-dazed from blood loss, she marveled at his ability to repel the Hollows with his bare fists. When she came to her senses days later, she was shocked to find out that the same man was in her home, looking speechlessly relieved as he watched her open her eyes. That day, she discovered that the Shinigami was in fact her father - one Hisagi Shuuhei.
That was the first and last time she ever saw her father, but it was long enough that Suzuran resolved to follow in his footsteps. It would be later that she would discover this was the day before he left for the transient world to fight in the Winter War. His last words to her as he knelt before her and placed his hands on her shoulders, "Stay strong. Take care of Mom for me, okay?" were taken to heart, perhaps further than what Shuuhei had intended. For years later, when a small group of Shinigami arrived at her house offering her the chance to become a Shinigami, she seized the chance to follow in her father's footsteps. Once in the Academy, Suzuran worked tirelessly, driven by the reputation her father had held even in his Academy years. Though she was held back for a couple years due to insufficient skill in Kidou, she eventually graduated, and was recruited at first into the ranks of Juuichibantai. Years later she was transferred over to Kyuubantai, where Suzuran strove even harder, knowing this was the division her father looked over for so long. After decades of crawling up the ranks, she now sits at third seat, with dreams to take her place one day as fukutaichou - even if only temporarily, before Shuuhei returns to take his rightful place - and the work of those hoping to awaken the cyrogenic slumbering Winter War warriors driving her onward.
Type of childhood: Decent.
Most important child hood event that still effects him/her: A Hollow attack that crippled her mother and left her scarred.
Why? It was the turning point for Suzuran, in more ways than one. It was her first encounter with her father Shuuhei, and merited the attention of the Seireitei, thus opening the doors to her life as a Shinigami.
Most at ease when: Training, out in the field, out drinking with friends.
Most ill at ease when: Stuck indoors, her intuition isn't giving good vibes, faced with tense situations.
Priorities: Honour before reason, nakama before duty, intuition (read: gut instinct) before logic.
Philosophies: "Everything for my father."
"Live by honour, die in honour."
"Your only achievements are the ones you accomplish by your strength alone."
"Never surrender."
How they feel about themselves: Nowhere near as amazing as her father.
Past failure they would be embarrassed to admit: Having to stay back a couple years in the Academy because her Kidou wasn't up to snuff.
Drives and motives: Personal improvement, protection of honour, sheer determination, proof of worth, provision for mother.
Extremely skilled at: Hakuda, Hohou, Kenjutsu, holding her alcohol, picking a fight.
Extremely unskilled at: Being subtle, Kidou (she's decent, but not in comparison to others), healing, keeping her cool.
Good characteristics: She won't ever attack anyone from behind, believing in "fair fighting". She's loyal to those who have proven themselves to be worthy of loyalty in her eyes, and would put her life at stake for those she calls friend or family.
Character flaws: Suzuran is a temperamental little -beep!-, and has a general indifference for "unproven" authority. Basically, if she doesn't think you're worthy of the title, she won't give it to you. She's reckless and dives into things without careful planning, which often get her into trouble (though she refuses to let anyone bail her out of it).
Peculiarities: Uses Hakuda more than her Zanpakutou, will answer to the name "Shuuhei", obtains a slight "drunken fist" after three strong drinks, shows a lot of respect to the Yonbantai despite being a former Juuichibantai member.
Biggest regret: Being unable to stop the Hollow that attacked her district from injuring her mother.
Biggest accomplishment: Achieving the rank of seated officer in the bantai she wanted to be in.
Darkest secret: Above all else, she fears that her father won't recognize her and even reject her when she finally meets him again. No one knows of her secret.
One word they would use to describe themselves: Independent.
What do they consider their best physical characteristic and why: Her tats, inspired by her father.
The worst one? Why?: Her beauty mark. Sure, it's her mom's, but she thinks it makes her look too feminine. And to a lesser extent, her name. She feels it's way too girly (Suzuran means "lily of the valley"), but lives with it because her father named her.
How they think others preserve them: Hot-headed, battle crazy, an overall b*tch, but hardworking and fiercely loyal.
What four things would they most like to change about themselves:
- Her adoration for all things cute and fuzzy. To her, it's way too girly and if discovered, would ruin her reputation as a "Dragon Lady".
- Her sweets addiction and tendency to snack-binge. While snack-binging isn't the problem, the fact that she'd binge on something as "childish" as sweets hurts her pride somewhat.
- She wishes her skill in Kidou was as good as her father's. She's just about there with her Hakuda, Hohou, and Kenjutsu, but her Kidou . . .
- To a certain degree, Suzuran is actually embarrassed about how easy her Berserk Button is to push. She sometimes wishes she was less temperamental.
How do they relate to others: Pretty poorly overall, but the way she does depends on gender. For males, Suzuran usually "relates" to them in fights. For females, she'll make snide remarks to more feminine ones and pick fights with the more "tomboy" ones.
How are they perceived by strangers: As mentioned before by her nickname: "That crazy b*tch".
Friends: The few and far between who don't mind her temper, her vitreous tongue, or her tendency to fight. Most notable at the moment: Hibiki Mikoto.
Wife/husband/lover: None, and not surprising with her temperament.
How do they react in a crisis: Attempt to alleviate the crisis on her own, going with gut, sheer will, and self-reliance.
How do they face problems: Plow through it with whatever half-assed plan pops into her mind that moment. Then deal with it as it goes, with the same elements of self-reliance and sheer determination.
Kind of problems they usually run into: Getting stuck in a sticky situation due to her recklessness, scuffles with people she'd beat up who want rematches/revenge.
How they react to new problems: Rinse, lather, repeat her regular problem-solving model.
How they react to change: That would depend on the change.
What do they do too much of, why: Training/fighting. She is constantly striving to become stronger and thus "prove herself worthy" when her father is broken from his state of cyrogenic suspension.
Most prized possession, why: Her shoulder tats, as she feels that in that way, "my father is always with me". Helped by the fact that her shoulders were the last place she made physical contact with Shuuhei before he left for the Winter War.
People they secretly admire, why: The Soutaichou, for being so damn powerful. And the Winter War survivors for the exact same reason.
Person they are most influenced by, why Hisagi Shuuhei. She idolizes him in the way he was able to rely on himself more than his Zanpakutou, unlike everyone else. (Read: Father complex)
Zanpakuto name: Atori Tsujikaze (Stolen Raven Whirlwind; 鴉取 旋風)
Zanpakuto sealed Appearance: Atori Fujikaze is actually double-bladed, consisting of a pair of wazikashi dull grey tsuba (guard). The grips are both dark green, and the tsuba are octangular, with the relief of a raven with its wings outstretched on it.
Shikai Appearance: Atori Fujikaze becomes a pair of tessen, or metal bladed fans, in which instead of being made of slats of steel connected by joints and ribs, consists of nine feather-shaped blades, each a little over a foot long from point to end. These blades are attached only on one end, which is the one Suzuran holds. Atori Fujikaze can be used both open and closed; when closed, the fans act as twin daggers, much like how its sealed form serves as.
Shikai Release Command: Sundan shite, Atori Tsujikaze! ("Tear to pieces, Atori Tsujikaze!"; 寸断 為て, 鴉取 旋風!)
Shikai Abilities: Air Element - Atori Tsujikaze is a air-element Zanpakutou, with its Kidou-type attacks calling winds to its will and some of its attacks stirring up gales.
Butou Oobane - Though it can be used in fan form, Atori Tsujikaze's blades can separate themselves. When in Butou Oobane, the blades will hover in the air around Suzuran, looking like "dancing feathers". They can be thrown, and can be controlled and recalled by thought once thrown, so they will continue to be used.

SHHHHHHH. No one's supposed to know who her mum is!!!! xDDDD Jokes. I kinda did take from Soifon's design, though I really tried to deviate with her gloves (result = dinnat work). Her hair used to be a lot more tame too, until I figured Shuuhei's kid should have spiky hair like him. xD
