In a way I'm sort of near Michigan but not from there. Southern Indiana here, my uncle lives near Ann Arbor though, but he probably thinks that this sort of thing is disgusting, like most people.

I live in Michigan. I'm divided between 3 locations though. I go to school in kalamazoo, my parents have a house by the Auburn Hills area, and we have a Lake house near cement city/ Jackson area. We pass through Ann Arbor on the way to the Lake house.

Meh, it's just my uncle, he's a dork anyway, and I'm almost an entire state away from him, he's semi-famous though.
I also feel sorry for your parents for being so closed-minded, and also a little bit for you because of said fact.
